This weight stuff is useless info. It depends on how he uses it.
Eller, as an example, put something like 15 pounds on during the summer and it really shows. His strength on the puck is really good this season, and that was one of his weaknesses last season. If Tinordi puts on weight and plans to use it to give him a strength advantage then it's good, but otherwise, it doesn't mean much.

It's basically what adding weight does to your body, you know?
also condiser that just because someone didn't/hasn't/won/t fill out in proportion to how they should be built, the fact remains he still weighs 215 pounds. opponents still have to push around 215 pounds. while his centre of gravity comes into effect as well, i don't think one has to unquestionably fill out more to be a force. it might be balanced by greater footspeed and skating. which in this case is is supposed to excel at for his size.
Who knows what is ideal weight will be, but 213lbs at 6'7'' is definetly not ideal. You can tell by looking at him athat there's rrom to fill out that frame. He will probably reach 230 in a few years. He is 19, and like all 19 year olds, he will add weight in the next 2-3 years.
I expect is ideal weight to be between 230-240. He will be a force to play against when he's in is late 20's. Perfect Subban future partner.
Definitely Ellis. He was great for Cape Breton and since he's been traded to a good team, he's put up great numbers. Very happy to see his progression and hope to see him in the show in 2-3 years.
Size issue is totally irrelevant.
Peter Popovic was 220 lbs and a total *****cat. Clutterbuck is a 5'11" 200lbs ball of hate.
Tinordi, if anything like his father or reports about his aggressiveness is going to be a bigger version of Emelin. That is scary. Can't wait to see it. If everything goes well in the future i would love to see:
Markov Emelin
Gorges PK
Tinordi Beaulieu
Ellis
That could be rally scary for a long time if they all develop according to plan.

Size is certainly not irrelevant. He's going to have to match up against Lucic and play a shutdown game. He needs to add muscle. Pacioretty lost every board battle up until this year. If we want Tinordi to be effective, he needs to keep adding. It's not just about the player being functional, he has to excel in this role if we're going to beat Boston and like the previous poster says, with his skating ability, it's likely that he's gonna be a good hitter. He does need to get to at least 225 before he can routinely handle the Lucic's. He's already there almost. Another summer and he's there.

My post was trying to illustrate that it's not just how big the player is but how big he plays. The fact that Tinordi is a giant and has a nasty streak is his saving grace. The fact he weighs 10 lbs more or less is imo irrelevant as he has more than enough size to take on any player in the league, including Lucic. The question is WILL he. I think he will.
Was there anything else to talk about in the great article?
yes leadership of Tinordi, he's not a silent captain, it doesn't bother him to tell his teammate to play better, but he chooses a good timing for it.
Going for -8 to +40 in one season is great improvement. It shows he mastered the ohl being the captain of london and being the league leader for +/- . Next stop AHL, I would like to see him dominate the AHL too before he's moved to the NHL. As long as it takes, he has a lot to improve, his positioning , decisions in defensive zone(when to play the puck when the player), improve his reaction time. The NHL is a tough world for players like Tinordi, so people expect it to last and don't be impatient.lol

In regards to Tinordi "needing" to add weight, keep in mind Pronger is roughly the same height and has played most of his career at around 205lbs. (I know he's listed at 220lbs, but those around the game know that's a major boost.)
Tinordi is a legit 215 at 19, and considering his frame he likely ends up around 235lbs...
For the ones who saw Tinordi play, did he use leverage effectively?
Tinordi, like most tall players, gets a little high. He's going to be a physical beast though, noone should be worried about that. Just be patient people!
