We need to just forget about them, they won't make up this current 6 point gap.

This. And he played well overall. Made plenty of nice passes. Really encouraging.

Non-tank perspective:

Markov is helping out offensively, but defensively he will cost us many goals as he shakes the rust off.

Could Rene Bourque care any less? I fully expect we learn that he wants out of town within a year. Dude is clearly not interested in being a part of this team and fighting for the cause, he probably thought he would be a Flame for a long time and would stay in his native Alberta.
Flames fan thought the same thing about him.

He's a real impact player, unlike the Tomas Kaberle of the past year.

I love the attitude of the team lately. I can only imagine what we could have done with a healthy Markov, he still has it.

On the other hand Eller still has a lot to learn, and Kaberle, Campoli and Weber as complete failures. Emelin hasn't been much better lately.

Still looking at a good draft pick, calm down tankers.

Saw a lot more positive moments than negative moments from Markov, +/- aside.

I definitely doubted that he would be effective again, but it looks like he's gonna be perfectly fine. A solid Summer of conditioning will be great for him.

It's so unfair, how do we compete with that and Columbus.

Good analysis. Glass half-full or half-empty for everyone.

How in the hell are Eller and Bourque on in an OT together.

RC, that is patently absurd.

Bourque is a lazy player but a lot of forwards have looked off under Cunneyworth. I'd rather have Kostitsyn but he was just as bad under RC. As long as he's not expected to be a top 6 forward I'd give him a chance under a real coach.

its called post game talk people. not tank talk. thats in a the tank talk thread. This is about the actual hockey game that was played not amateur mentalities like wanting your team to lose every game.

We wouldn't even have him if he were any good. He'd be stuck in Boston playing with Chara or leading Carolina on a playoff run.

Is AC really whining because Gauthier didn't tell RDS first that Markov would return Saturday?

I really can't believe some ppl are upset that we tied the game up at the end, as a fan I want the Habs to get the best pick possible, but I can't believe "fans" actually root vs the team. The draft system allows you to move up 4 spots, IMO by rooting vs ur team, ur only bring bad karma.

lol at people who think the Habs will magically be a great team next year because we tank this year.

don't get me wrong I want to pick in the top 5 too but this team have a lot of holes.
