Yup. See Lidstrom. His hockey sense has kept him going strong and kept him the Elite d-man that he is these last few years.

The way Markov thinks the game is rare and it's what I love most about him. It's really too bad we missed him all this time .

the new management team will have A LOT of work to do.

my point is a good draft pick won't change everything.

I'm fairly confident with our actual squad, to be honest. With a steady stay-at-home type that can log around 20 minutes a night on the bottom 4, I think we'd be set. If we don't sign anybody, then we'll have a problem. You cannot have 4 PMD on a line-up and expect being solid on defense, providing Kaberle is still here next season.
This year's crop of FA d-men is terrrible though http://www.capgeek.com/free_agents.php

Do you think it will be Roy? It would make things interesting if so, some guys might respond, others not so much. Rene Borque is clearly a better player than he has shown but for whatever reason his head is clearly not in it.

Its funny, you look at Markov right now and you simultaneously see the timing, mobility and positioning issues of a guy that hasn't played for 2 years but you also see the mind and hands that could allow him to play until he's 40 if the knee holds up.

There's a chance that Markov is still an NHL defender after guys like Campoli and Diaz hang up the skates.

Which is quality troll material cause a bunch of people got emotionally engaged.

I bet Young Gun is having fun, something that has been lacking in this board for years.

It's actually strange that Cole doesn't have more points. He's been racking goals and passes all over since the season started.

I'm so sick of RC's lack of management. It's pathetic.
Benching Emelin in the third? What the heck is the point, doesn't he know we won't make the POs yet???
Campoli the 2nd most used Dman???

Jesus Christ this guy sucks. Can't wait for him to be gone.

Yah he's pretty clueless.

I still don't understand why White has been playing with Plekanec and Bourque for the past 6 games. He does nothing on that line, nothing!

Habs were clueless all game. RC cannot adapt, it's like it's too fast for him.

Bourque has played nearly 1/3rd of a year as a Hab. The results are scary bad.

26 GP.....7 points (4g/3a)....minus 16

That projects over 82 games to 22 points and, gulp, a MINUS 50.

For all of you who dismiss +/-, how'd you like to see this type of performance in 2012-13?

It's not even that. He adapts fine by benching players. It's that he just doesn't know anything about coaching, or at least he's really trying to show that to us.
It isn't solely this game as you know, it's been like that since he replaced the Penguin.

I meant he can't adapt as far as sending the right players and doing the right matchups. RC is not ready to have this kind of job. Yet.

Zanon, Allen, Stuart, Jackman... I'd be happy with a defenseman of that type.

I've never been a fan of Bourque, and I'd take AK over him without thinking twice. Not only that, but I'd rather have kept Cammy had I known management were also going to move AK. I mean, we went from Cammy+AK to Bourque. It's retarded, absolutely imbecile. There is no logic behind it, even if creates room (just a little over 2M), it's senseless.

Despite all of this, Bourque has been misused from his first game here.
