AK comes through again! Preds almost gave this one away though. Not acceptable. The roster is great but if the Preds falter it will be due to pick management, which was terrible tonight, and a lack of passion defensively. You can tell this team loves getting out on the rush. Bring that same passion defensively and take care of the puck and I have no doubt this team can go far. If they don't well then I cant see them beating Detroit.

Erat has got to develop another move. The over the shoulder snipe is not going to work very often.

Rinne has had a couple bad shootouts this season, but he is statistically one of the best in the league over his career...

No I think most think our offense players suck at SO, exception being Legwand (He seems good on SO). Thank goodness we have AK.

Preds have scored 3 goals or more in regulation in 8 of the last ten..

I like our chances if we can keep up that clip...

Never should have gone to a shootout. We had 2 goal lead and let it slip away. Have got to do better in controlling the puck.

I would say it is even.

Preds record since Klein went out

FINAL SJS (2) - NSH (6)
FINAL LAK (1) - NSH (2)
FINAL NSH (3) - CAR (4)
FINAL NSH (3) - FLA (1)
FINAL LAK (5) - NSH (4)
FINAL COL (2) - NSH (4)
FINAL DET (2) - NSH (3)
FINAL NSH (5) - PHX (4)

6-2 in that stretch while giving up an average of 2.25 goals a game compared to a season average of 2.74 with Klein in the line up.

So no, I would say its pretty much a wash as far as Klein is concerned with the emergence of Josi and the addition of Gill. The loss of Josi hurt the team more tonight.

At any right, really shouldn't have given the Yotes a point, but that is ok as long as we got our two. Would rather see them in the playoffs than San Jose at any rate.

Really impressed with Ellis tonight and I thought our guys had a lot of Jump, just not enough finish.

Ok. I give our boys a bit of slack.
3 of their goals were lucky bounces.

And Gill suck tonight bad.

dunno what kinda math they teach where you go to school but 21/8 is more like 2.65...

but math aside it just seems like our defense isn't as smooth/settled/comfortable sine he's gone down...

Does anyone realize that we were:

A) Playing a team that is absolutely clawing to just play in the playoffs
B) We were on the road

This game meant a lot to the Preds for home advantage in the playoffs, but it meant about 10x more to the Yotes. And we were on the road. Playoff hungry teams are lethal, and we pulled it out tonight. Yes, a regulation win would have been nice but they also missed a wide open net (hit the post) in the first that would have ended the game in favor of the Yotes in regulation had it gone it.

Take the win and leave it at that.

You'll get good and bad with Gill.

-5 on 5 during the regular season: bad
-PK: as good as it gets (he's great)
-Offensive game: none
-5 on 5 during playoffs: good because he can hook and grab with his long reach and refs will look the other way

Well, I don't want to be down on them, but I think all 3 were a result of failure to clear the zone. That's not just lucky.

We gotta do better if we want to have success down this last stretch and into the playoffs.

If we just want to coast into the playoffs and get bounced, then the the sloppy effort can continue.

How, in any concept of the term, are we coasting to the playoffs? We're 7-2-1 in our last 10. I think the Preds have done fantastic work lately.
