You really are something special.
Feeling a big win for the Flyers tonight though. 5-2, Briere (2), Schenn, Jagr, Wellwood.

Wow. Way to ignore every point Flyersfan9180 made, and continue to speak unrelated nonsense. It's been amazingly clear from the moment that story broke and made Bryz look bad that you've been leading a one-man crusade against Briere to deflect all negative attention away from Bryz.

Did you notice in the Briere thread about his comments your the only one who took it as he wasn't playing hard? Your impossible to even discuss things with rationally. Briere sent Bryz a wake up call, with saying the team is going to stop competing for him if he didn't become a better team mate and more dedicated to the game. Your the only one who took it as Briere isn't trying when he is out there. You don't become a captain because you take shifts off and aren't a good team mate. Stop shoving this on Briere.

the fact that he had the balls to publicly start a sentence 'If our goalie wants the guys to play hard ...' was all i needed to see.
he can talk like that inside the room. the fact that he went public with that is a disgrace.
he should worry more about scoring goals, and not how hard he decides to play based on what the goalie does.
he brought this on himself for shooting off his mouth. let Lavi say those things.
and how about you ignoring that I was the one who said Lavi & Homer needed to sit Bryz down & straighten him out. and if the COACH wants to say those things publicly as a motivation tool, fine by me ....
Who cares if Briere is playing well or not? He called out Bryz and now he's playing better. I don't care if it was Jody Shelley, he still got Bryz turned around.
the fact that he had the balls to publicly start a sentence 'If our goalie wants the guys to play hard ...' was all i needed to see.
And you are the only one to connect those convoluted dots and come up with this outrageous conclusion.
As a fanbase we are fond of our scapegoats. Briere has been one of them for a while now...yet nobody else took his statement the way you did. That should tell you something. Hell, I've been criticizing Briere's lack of production and it deserves to be criticized. You take it to an absurd extreme. You've decided to villainize him unjustly.

Wait so a leader of the room isn't allowed to say this **** but Homer or Lavy are? Lavy and Homer both stated that he needed to play better. He didn't respond to either of those. Briere, who took it upon himself, to motivate and set Bryz straight. What your missing is Bryz wasn't giving his all, and the team was pissed at him. This is what leaders do, they push buttons to get players going. What Briere did worked and was very instrumental to bryz turning the corner. When they meet with him and flat out told him he needs to be a better team mate it struck home with Bryz.
Your trying to make it look like Briere is the bad guy for not scoring. But guess what, he is one of the choices for captain next year for a reason. He has the respect of those players. If he said this about Bryz, then it shows you how torn that locker room was with our "#1 star goalie".
He did the same on another occasion close to this time, saying it was hard to save things when the defense didn't play the man correctly and were not boxing out correctly.
Cue post defending why what Bryz said was not calling out D in any way, and how Briere is pure evil.
Pretty funny saying you shouldn't take it out of the room

might be nice if you knew the facts before insinuating that I always defend Bryz. or claiming that I have some 'double standard' about keeping it in the room.
just sayin'

Reason: changed 'never criticize' to 'always defend'
So about the game.....looking for a few guys to make an impact such as Couturier, Schenn, Briere and for Giroux, Hartnell and Jagr to find that dominant play again.
Also would like to see a careful game from Timmo and Voracek as well, wont be looking for them so much on the score sheet but playing as if they are not still hurting.

Why does everyone take comments from players as if they are Tim Panaccio? Jesus christ... Reporters are asking him retarded questions and he is responding to them. He didn't say it was the D's fault. He said "we need to work on those three words so this doesn't happen again in the future"
Oh and the other clip you're referring to I remember quite well actually. It was after a Rangers game when I believe Stepan(?) scored with a deflection from about 10 feet wide of the net. Panaccio asked Bryz, "Could the defense have maybe done something more there?", Bryz: "Well he was already 10 feet wide, not much anyone could do.. just strange deflection", Panaccio: "Could they maybe have boxed him out further?" Bryz: "I guess?" (you're supposed to take this as "uhhh wtf Tim?, youre an idiot and im going to agree with you because you dont give me any other option")
Day after: "BRYZ THROWS DEFENSE UNDER THE BUS"
When are people going to realize that the Philly Media are mentally challenged and should write about the jersey shore cast members instead.
I don't care about anything Briere has said all I care about are his mannerisms on the ice. All he does is skate slowly in circles and makes zero effort to pressure the guy with the puck. I never liked him for this reason and the fact that he's making 6.5 mil this year and for the next 3 yrs has me livid. The number one thing I would change about the Flyers going forward would be getting rid of Briere.
