Hutch returning to form tonight letting in 5 goals on 18 shots

Seems the high from his NHL recall has worn off and he's reverted to familiar mediocrity.

Speaking of, you know who's also been less-than-stellar lately as well? Joe Colborne. Looks like the kick-in-the-ass factor from the trade has worn off and he's reverted to his lazy, unmotivated ways. Watched 2 recent Marlies games and he's been a non-factor. I've also noticed that Burke has favored other guys like Frattin and Ashton when it comes to call-ups. Interesting to see if Joe can rebound or if he's mentally "done" in Toronto like he was here ...

Can anyone give me a feel for what Kevan Miller is?

He has decent stats for a mediocre team but I'd like to have someone who's seen him play give some kind of evaluation.

What's his style? Is he an NHL worthy body or is he a career AHLer?

Joe Colborne is honesly nothing special

The kid has been like that for as long as I've been following him (08)

What good is talent if you don't compete? I'd rather have a guy that needs work on skills but gives it his all every night than the opposite

saw quite a bit of Colborne and his 18th rank in Future's Watch is hilarious. He may make it but I would be anyone both Spooner and Knight have superior careers to him.

Agree completely.

As Knight mentioned above, the guy lacks "compete". When he was traded to Toronto, it brought the "compete" out in him for little while, but he's cruising again ... And has been for awhile now. Same exact pattern he displayed here.

Bru and I were getting crucified up in here for pointing this out when he was a P-Bruin, but it's hard to deny for anyone who has actually spent some time watching him play. What I saw last weekend in Marlies games was very reminiscent of Joe's play here ... Blend in and go through the motions.

To be completely fair Colborne was one of those kids that was so big and so skilled he really never had to work too hard for anything in hockey until he got to the AHL... and then reality struck, from time to time he would do something that made me want to believe in him but he was so soft and lazy to ever make it here, that was a bad pick and I'm glad he's gone

That's why you don't draft guys in the first round out of the AJHL. It's a Tier 2 league. Stay away.

Especially over guys like Del Zotto, Gardiner, or Eberle. And almost as bad, letting a division rival jump over you and take Karlsson.

Poor man's Adam McQuaid, at this point. He's one of the few d-men who'll willingly put a body on someone. For an undrafted guy, he's made some good progress this season. I know he's had a scrap or two, but can't really recall much about them.

So he may be a bottom pairing diamond-in-the-rough.....cool.

Kid's come a long, long way since the beginning of the season ... One of the few current P-Bruins I'm excited about in next season's training camp. He was somewhat of a mess when he got here, but he "gets it" now. Hope he builds on what he's accomplished ...
