Only possible second-hand...there's a guy in the ASG thread below selling his tickets for 400 (for a pair) in section 306.

Draft is at the Casino de Lac Leamy on the other side of the river in Gatineau.

No way, its there?

Would it be possible to get seating there?

There are still LOTS of Bruins fans in Ottawa from before we got the team in '92. Lots of dads who refused to switch teams, and have indoctrinated their kids as well. Probably a couple thousand will be in attendance, as usual. And, as usual, they're very respectful of the building and Sens fans, unlike a certain other fanbase. Boston fans are OK in my books.

Wifi is on the list of things to be installed over the short term (next 1-2 years) from what I've heard. It's on the "to do" list.

Hi guys so I am planning to go to the Habs vs Sens game Friday in Ottawa. I have some questions

1. Where can I find a cheap hotel near Scotiabank Place
2. Where can I find cheap tickets
3. If I stay in a hotel in downtown Ottawa is their like a bus or train that takes you to scotiabank place?

Thanks

1) Don't know the Kanata area sorry
2) Likely sold out. Habs and Leafs games are a pretty big draw
3) Yes on game days they have a Scotiabank Place bus (you can get the route on the octranspo website

Just curious, is it much busier on Saturdays? We're staying downtown and will board at Laurier today. Should be fine, no?

Laurier is a good stop to get on at. You should be able to catch the first 403 and get seats. The first bus should arrive at Laurier station shortly after 5:30.

1. If you want a slightly nicer hotel that is literally 2 minutes from SBP go with the Brookstreet. If you want something cheaper, you can go with the Holiday Inn which is in centrum, also a few minutes from SBP. There is also the Comfort Inn and Country Inn and while I haven't stayed there and don't know much about those two, I assume they are pretty cheap.

2. As another poster said it's likely sold out and has been for a while, shouldn't be waiting this long to get tix for such a big draw like the Habs. Your best bet is StubHub or trying to find a good deal from someone looking to get rid of tix on Craigslist or Kijjji. Go check that out.

3. You'll be able to grab a bus almost anywhere DT an hour and a half before the game. Check octranspo.com for more details....

Good Luck!

Sad thing is that the Sens are one of the 10 cheapest beers in the NHL.

To get a beer at the Molson Center, in Nashville or in Columbus, you have to take out a mortgage.

Here's a link in case anyone cares to see spreadhseets.

I was in the my friends' wedding party, and was given a flask as a gift for my participation. It's come in handy

Haha thanks for the responses...

I'm heading there with some friends for a hockey/St.Patty's weekend and are seeing both the Habs and Leaf games. As it is St.Patty's it is important to be prepared.

Going to the game tomorrow night, pretty pumped.

Since it's a Saturday, I was wondering, will either the Sens or Pens be practicing at Scotiabank place on gameday? And if so, are they ever open to the public? Thought it might be cool to check it out.

Hey all,

My buddies and I were wondering if there's a bar(s) in town that have busses to the game and back. We went to a playoff game two years ago and we took a bus from Local Heroes (I'm pretty sure) that cost us $5.

We're in the Riverside/417 area and are looking for something relatively close.

I'm gonna scroll through the thread to see if it's been discussed before, just thought I'd post this up in case someone can help! Game's at 7, so we're getting a little tight for time.

OT: Going to SBP for the first time

Hey everyone, I need some help. I'm planning on getting tickets for the playoffs and I'll be coming from Kitchener to see the Sens play. I'm wondering if anyone can give me pointers and tips.
For example, is it better to get a hotel close to the arena and walk over? What hotels do you recommend? How much parking is there at SBP? How accessible is SBP and is it really in the middle of nowhere as some people say.

Stuff like that. Any help is appreciated!

SBP is accessible for pretty much anywhere in Ottawa or Kanata, because there are a few bus routes that go straight to SBP, so it might be best to just get an affordable hotel

There aren't many hotels within walking distance. The Quality Suites is probably the only one. Parking is $11 during the regular season, possibly more during the playoffs. Get there at least an hour early to avoid traffic.
