Interesting. I assumed he would rather stay for the World Championships and start his NHL career fresh in the fall. That'd be cool to see him over here though. Definitely a more ready contributor than Zibanejad, or any of the other non-AHL prospects.

That would be a huge plus for us. If he's really on his game he takes one of the top LW slots.

Hope Alfie has an extra bedroom for a few months.

I like the swedish word "Stanley Cup-slutspel" and will use it to refer to the playoffs going forward

I'm not sure. Didn't catch the first game. I didn't see him in the first period , but it's hard for me to read Frolunda's numbers.

Silfverberg had a nice pass to spring Larsson on a break. My stream froze right after, but it sounded like he drew the Frolunda penalty, as well.

He's not playing, all the lines for both teams can be found in the right and left columns here http://hockeyligan.se/elitserien-arena/38044/

Brynas loses 2-1.

Silfverberg didn't play very well. I was pretty disappointed with his performance.

Might as well trade him.

There just isn't any merit to letting yourself be disappointed over 1 game.

Negativity bugs me, I suppose.

How dare you say something somewhat negative (honest) about Silfverberg. Don't you know that this guy is coming in next year to win the Calder right after he comes cold turkey to the NHL playoffs and wins the Conn Smyth? Do you even watch hockey?

Funnily enough, I have said a few times that I think Silfverberg can win the Calder next season. It's my bold prediction for 2012-2013.

how do people predict the winner of the calder cup when they dont even know who the rookies will be next year?

it is probably easier to guess the art ross or hart winner

LOOL @ Silfverberg winning the calder!

It's obviously going to be our very own Filip Forsberg after we make a massive trade to get into the top 5!

Seriously though, I think Silfverberg has as good a chance as anyone to win the Calder next year.

Nothing wrong with saying something negative.

Just nothing to gain by being disappointed by 1 game. It's typical of any player.

That would be awesome to see Silfverberg come over to Ottawa this year. But in the meantime, I wish him the best in his series in Sweden right now. One thing at a time.
