No one plays with heart when your team is absolute trash. I feel bad that Phaneuf, kessel have to play in this peice of **** that Burke calls playoff team.

This team....

This ****ing team......

This team is a complete and utter EMBARRASSMENT to this city and its fans.

I have never hated a team as much as I hate this one. Everything about them is pathetic.

********* overpaid retard captain? Check
Sissy boy mentality when push comes to shove? Check
Steaming hot piles of **** contracts? Check
Limited youth with legitimate star potential? Check
Dumbass GM? BIG check

This is all on Burke as many of us have been saying all along. I hope people realize now that changing Wilson wasn't going to do ****. I hope the Leafs lose every game remaining and his ass gets canned.

I respectfully disagree. He never played with any heart.

Only guy that comes close to being a captain is Lupul.

Even Orr provides more leadership

I certainly think it should be looked at(give someone else the C). I obviously have no locker room insight but from interviews and just watching things he seems to have a polarizing personality which I don't think is really what the Leafs need.

you're the guy that said tonights loss is a reflection on Carlyles defence strategy, right?

No amount of motivation/effort from our offense can be sustained when a goal is allowed every single time. Reimer is at fault for this one. IMO he sits the rest of the season. Ride Gus and give him a chance.

What a poorly constructed team. Burke should be under fire.

I still remember when you were on me about complaining about the Leafs play early in the season, even though they were getting wins.

During this increasingly inexplicable losing streak, this team is playing at a 28 point pace over 82 games, which puts them in the territory of one of the all-time worst teams, going from contending for a top six playoff spot to a bottom of the conference finish. To put this into context, the Washington Capitals of 1974-75 had 21 points. The Ottawa Senators 90s expansion teams had 24 and 37 points their first two years. The San Jose Sharks had 24 points in 1993.

The loss is good for the tank, but our fellow tankers are every bit as pathetic. NYI were up 3-0 (and then 4-1), and still lost, and the Canes lost too. Basically a neutral night for the tank so far. The only other meaningful game is the Wild game, but they're down 1-0 with 6 minutes to go at the moment, if they lose too then we didn't really do anything for the tank tonight.

2nd youngest team learning a completely different system 3/4 the way through a season = losses

Brian Burke knew this! This is his way of rebuilding!Burke knew a lottary pick would be accepted in Leaf Land. He didn't get Carlyle to make the playoffs this year and anyone thinks that Burke didn't know that Carlyle system would be a huge change is a fool.

Getting rid of Wilson was a must for the better of the organization.

I wonder if Burke will now tweet us what the Leafs record is since the Phaneuf deal?

i think there is a rift within the players
I think it probably has something to do with the fact that about 4 players look like they are interested in playing every night.

I seriously did IRL after the 3rd or 4th goal...I can't remember which. I was hoping Carlyle would pull Reims and shake him the F! awake. Guy seems like he crouches into the smallest ball his torso can form and REFUSES TO LEAVE HIS CREASE ON POINT SHOTS. This has been happening for most of this season. I'm through with the James experiment.

He is signed for what two more years. Play the hell out of him now and see if he can get out of the funk. Don't let him think about it for the whole summer if you can prevent it. Miller played like shiat for a while but they just kept going back to him until he got it sorted out. Not saying Reimer is Miller but he needs a bunch of starts like Gus just had to sort it out. Let him do it now while it would only help the tank effort and not next year when we hopefully will be back in contention.
