Poor showings from Stepan & Dubinsky tonight.... Mitchell over-handled the puck all night.
Great game by Biron tonight.

As for Zuke, I'd like to see him used as more than just a power-play specialist---he had a good opportunity but he hit the post.
Curious: who got the hat? Hagelin or Richards?
No one got a hatty. They all got 3 pts but none got 3 goals.

I thought Dubi had a bad game, which is disappointing.
If we could've ran this line with the Pack Line it'd be good news.

Steps should be with Cally, not Anisimov.

Disagree. Arty did really well with Dubi and Cally and Steps has been very subpar recently.

Dubi really needs to take off the invisibility cloak. It's starting to get old.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking as well. But it really completely changes our bottom six. Do we put Rupp with Steps and MZA?

BR interview just made me a believer he is a highly cerebral player who with fast players with some finish and brains and more importantly players who play HIS GAME can be a major difference maker .
Really wanna see this team transition into a passing , skating and shooting team next season . If and when that happens BR will get his numbers .

Why? Steps has not been playing that well as a pivot as of late.

I don't think he was abomination tonight. Just lazy on a couple plays. Steps, on the other hand, was terrible.

Who would have thought Richards and Gaborik would be a good line?
Granted, the defense tonight for the 'Canes wasn'y a brick wall, but you'd have to imagine this is better than Richards-Rupp-Fedetenko

With this new top line playing well, I'd really like to see a second line of:
Anisimov-Stepan-Callahan
If Dubinsky is able to actually start producing, I'd love to see the Pack line reunited.

Honestly, I think we need to see the BAR line first. It might very well boost Dubi's game.

Absolutely loved hearing Richards' post game interview.
Seems like he has taken Hagelin under his wing, giving him tips and pointers.
Their chemestry will only get better as we get closer to the play offs

Everyone needs to chill with the "finally a first line!' posts.
We've been through this a thousand times. Let's see them do this consistently against teams without **** defense. They've been wonderful these past two games, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet, nobody should.
PoTG: Hagelin was fantastic.
Good: Richards, Gaborik were amazing as well. Biron was very solid, especially during those 2 awful PK's we had in the 1st. Everyone was pretty good. Bickel again using his physical presence to pry forwards off the puck, he's had 2 very good games.
Bad: Nobody, but they should really be prepared for Skinner to throw these dangles by now. The guy lights us up.
Bad early start, but the Rangers had a nice game otherwise. Hopefully Cally and MDZ were precautions to get ready for Pittsburgh.
EDIT: Forgot Stepan and Dubinsky was very bad, evidence is I forgot lol. Stepan's been slumping heavily for awhile now. Guy is so ****ing slow.

I don't think steps had a bad game he was just invisible. However he rarely is invisible so he can have some off games lol.

First line looked sick but, it's going to hit a wall against good defensive teams, and if the secondary scoring isn't there, yikes.

Also, if anyone has the time, watch Bobby Sanguinetti's stick work on the first goal.
The guy is absolutely awful, looked like he had never defended before.
