I'd probably go...
Hagelin - Richards - Gaborik
AA - Stepan - Callahan
Kreider - Dubinsky - Mitchell
Fedotenko - Boyle - Prust

My lineup:

Anisimov-Stepan-Gaborik
Hagelin-Richards-Callahan
Kreider-Boyle-Dubinsky
Zucarello-Rupp/Feds-Prust

I'm keeping Zuc in there so that we have a dangerous power play. He seems to have brought a new dimension to the team. Goals win games. We need as much offense as we can get. Feds is burnt out although Rupp has been averaging like 5 minutes a game and not having much of an effect. Either or. Clearly, neither are really centers but really, Torts runs with 3 lines in the playoffs. More likely, when we need offense Kreider and Dubi will play around Boyle, when we need grit Feds and Prust will play around Boyle.

Dubi gets a spark of his own, who knows maybe we see a dramatic shift and he steps his game up as Richards seems to be doing with a competent player on his line.

Again, Zucc might be worthless for 58 minutes, but if we're down 1 with 2 minutes to play and we happen to get a power play, we need his offensive creativity on that pp. We're goners without one, he at least improves it.

Carrying all 3 of Mitchell/Rupp/Fedotenko is useless since that's basically our 4th line and Torts doesn't play 4 lines in the playoffs.

youd be INSANE to break the Richards-Gabby duo (and Hagelin there)...

youd have to see at least 2 games of craptastic play from them before you break them up. they literally have carried this team the past 2 games on their shoulders. The rest of the team has looked "meh" at best.

Feds showed last night why he can't and won't come out of the lineup when Callahan gets back and if Kreider joins the team. I see Mitchell and MZA being the odd ones out. Maybe Rupp depending on the matchups.

Another change, though, could be most welcome. Tortorella has said in the past that he can’t wait until Chris Kreider, the Rangers’ first-round pick (19th overall in 2009) with NHL-ready size and speed, signs.

Well, he is expected to sign when Boston College’s season is finished.

The problem with that is that the NCAA Frozen Four in Tampa — yes, Tampa, Fla. — is April 5-7, which are the dates of the Rangers’ final two games of the regular season. So if BC makes it that far, Kreider won’t have a chance to get any pro action before the playoffs.

That's why you root for Minnesota-Duluth to win the WCHA tournament. It's nothing personal against BC. They will be the #1 seed in the entire NCAA tournament if Minnesota-Duluth doesn't win the WCHA. That's the only scenario where BC isn't #1 overall. If both teams wins their conference tournaments,Duluth is #1. BC will be a #1 seed no matter what. They will be the #2 overall seed if Duluth wins the WCHA.

#16 will be Air Force/Niagara/RIT
#15 could be a team such as Western Michigan coached by Andy Murray. Danny DeKeyser. Matt Tennyson.

I would put Kreider with Stepan and Callahan and I may even ask each player to play their off wings to better take advantage of potential one-timers

Hagelin - Richards - Gaborik
Callahan - Stepan - Kreider
Dubinsky - Anisimov - Fedotenko
Rupp - Boyle - Prust

I personally don't think it's going to matter as I believe BC gets to the finals whether Minn-Duluth wins the WCHA or not.

And because I believe BC gets to the finals, I'd prefer that they go into the tournament #1 in the nation.

I am picking BC. Picked them last season to win the whole thing and they were blown out by the 14th seed overall in Colorado College.

I am still thinking he signs a ATO and plays in CT to end the yr

Its kind of alot asking the kid to jump right into the playoffs. Team is doing well as is

I pencil him in for next yr for sure though. Let Feds walk and Kreider replaces him.

Try for Parise but if that fails much of the same lineup. If it aint broke people

Hagelin, Richards, Gaborik
Kreider, Stepan, Callahan
Anisimov, Dubinsky, Zuccarello
Rupp, Boyle, Prust
Mitchell

I say Feds and his 1.4 walk as a UFA but I agree he wont come out of the lineup this yr. The guy wont score a ton but he blocks shots, Torts loves him as a role guy.

I want Zuke in for the PP but with that said Torts loves his grinders in Rupp. Also Mitchell was benched for Scott one game so it atleast tells me he could be an odd man out.

I would be very surprised if the Rangers brought back Zuccarello next year.

Would be nice if we could, but I don't think it'll happen.

I get the feeling that Torts has liked what he has seen so far from MZA. I am actually getting the opposite feeling, I think they bring him back and he makes the team out of camp again. Torts obviously liked him out of camp and he has provided a much needed spark to the offense and the PP.

Nash/Parise-Richards-Gaborik
Hagelin-Stepan-Callahan
Kreider-Anisimov-MZA
Rupp-Boyle-Prust
Mitchell

I think Dubinsky is dealt in the off-season.

He probably wants to play on a team that could slot him in their lineup immediately.

This was a discussion about Kreider no?

To that end, if CK can give us anything near what we've gotten from Hagelin, I'll be very happy we kept him.

With the addition of Kreider and Hags possibly to the top six, MZA is really going to have a tough time sticking. Hoping that he can interchange with the top six players while playing on the third line, when scoring slumps/line changes make switching players a necessity. Thats where I believe he can benefit, as an interchangeable part.

Kreider isn't some neophyte. He has played at BC for three years under York. He played under Dean Blais in one WJC in 2010. He also played in the 2011 WJC. I think Keith Allain(Yale/former Caps assistant coach) was the coach. Two US World Championship teams. I can't remember who coached the 2010 team but Scott Gordon coached the 2011 team. He has the experience of playing for a number of teams and coaches. He can make the adjust rather quickly. He is a smart kid.

I would be super happy if Kreider was able to step in to the lineup:

Hagelin. Richards. Gaborik.

Dubinsky. Anismov. Callahan.

Kreider. Stepan. Zucarello.

Fedotenko. Boyle. Prust.

He flipped Western Michigan with Air Force to avoid a CCHA conference match up of Western Michigan-Michigan in the first round which not allowed.

BC's next game is the Hockey East Tournament semi-final vs. Providence College on Friday. It's on NESN. You must've missed it on the college hockey boards.
