Just going off the last two games, I thought the Leafs played hard throughout. I mean those two quick goals last game could've sunk them but they stayed with it. Practically the same tonight. The one quick goal didn't kill them. They came hard the whole night. We kinda lucked out getting those power plays that tilted the game really.
I'm dying for us the get back to playing a complete game. I mean out of the first 40 minutes, I'd say we played strong for maybe 10-15 minutes. Not good.

The PP definitely tilted the game but what's ironic is that the PK has been the most consistent aspect of the Leafs game admist the wreckage and tonight it was their PK that pretty much lost the game for them. I mean, did you not see the beauty pass from Gunnarsson to your guy? That isn't like him at all. I don't know what's harder to process - the fact that he tried to clear through the middle of the ice when he had more than enough space to just shoot it to the side or the fact that during a PK, the Leafs only had two guys in their own zone.
Between injuries and pretty much everyone assuming that the team was playing over their heads and would play their way out of a playoff spot, the Panthers have been resilient and they've found ways to earn points and win games when they needed it most and that's a quality in the team that I think should give you guys hope that they can turn it around to what it was before.
By the way, what injuries are keeping Upshall and Versteeg out of the lineup and when do you guys expect them to return? With the season winding down, I'd imagine Versteeg would be a huge boost to the line up come playoffs.
we didn't play that well tonight, but james reimer (again) is awful, so we got the two points (which, in the end, is all that matters). we should thank toronto's coach(es) for continuously starting Reimer vs us.
this happened last game vs toronto, and the next game we played was the 7-0 game to winnipeg, so hopefully we rebound much better against a desperate boston team.

Versteeg has a hip injury and is day to day. He did do color in the 3rd with Moller tonight that was pretty funny. Upshall had sports hernia surgery and is still a while off. We are also missing Kulikov who should be back soon as well.
Does anyone know where I can find the pre-game Panthers intro video or the song played during the video? I know this isnt relevant to the thread but I really like the song and can't find it on youtube. Can someone tell me?

Is it just me or is Santorelli just useless if he's not scoring. He loses every battle for the puck, every battle in the corners, can't stickhandle around a pylon, gives up on the puck when ever someone just touches him

Great ole stones song, I love it, wasn't sure it would go over with the "young'ns"
Wolski had another good outing. He was involved in the play all night and was more physical. Put up 2 assists and picked off that pass from gunarsson for Goc goal. I like him. Quietly a pretty good player. Would like to see him shoot more though.

No, it's not just you, he's been awful this season. Was hoping he'd come out a bit more after the deadline, but he's just been bad. Guessing he's a bit between the two years, but I'm guessing he's closer to this season.

It was nice to finally go to a game and see them win. My voice was hoarse last night from all the cheering.
Going to the Bruins game as well. So I'm 1-2 attending this year so far. Hope they make it 2-2 on Thursday.
We were sitting right down next to the leafs bench. Most of them really didn't look like they cared whether they won or lost. The only leaf that showed any sort of emotion was Gunnerson. Also noticed that none of them talked to each other like at all.
When Jovo got slashed he skated right over to the leafs bench and yelled at them. After the PP goal Jovo came back right over the leafs bench and said something to them. It was awesome to see some of the stuff that you don't catch on tv.

It's definitely not just you. Santorelli shouldn't be playing once Versteeg comes back.
