I think Mac did himself and his 'career' a big favor. It's too easy for clowns like Avery, Downie, etc to run around all game, and just simply decline to answer for it. Maybe guys will realize if they don't face up to their antics with Mac, he may just beat the hell out of their goalie!

Of course he flipped..and will get suspended...but he wasn't out there using his stick as an axe like some of you are making this out to be.
I agree. He was sending a message of fight me or else. I think he made a great point. The guy who refused to fight him ( I don't remember his name and don't really feel like going back to the article) looks like a real a$$. He essentially got his own goaltender punched in the face by refusing to fight. You'd think his teamates might tell him that next time he better not start start something he's too big of pansy to finish. If you're a tough guy who wants to fight a skilled player you better be prepared and willing to go a round with Big Mac or he's going to beat the crap out of everyone on you're line, including you're goaltender Mac was just getting his money's worth.

So while MacIntyre is mauling any Springfield player he can get his hands on after Amadio ducked him and fought Walker instead and then ducked him again, Amadio ends up in the corner paired off with Alex Grant.

Maybe he should learn how to play hockey or else not be a professional hockey player.

I don't think practice is going to make him into a professional hockey player. If I had the opportunity to play in the NHL, even for a few games, I'd take that opportunity and paycheck regardless of whether or not I was good enough to play the game. If my skill set made me good enough to get on the ice 1 or 2 minutes per game then I would polish that skill set. It's sort of like saying maybe Steve Sullivan should learn how to fight. What difference would it make?

This.

Not to mention, he's 30 years old. MacIntyre challenged people when he was up with Pittsburgh, no one wanted to fight him. He basically ended Ivanans career last season, so I don't blame them.

The era of the pure enforcer is dead. Few teams have a "pure enforcer" on their roster now-a-days. Tough role-players like Asham and Engelland are becoming the new standard.
