Both at 15 goals with 13 games to go. Who nets 20 goals?

If Gagner gets put with Omark again, I don't like his chances. Ugh, keep Gagner away from Linus, please Renney.

Bingo. I have my doubts Nuge can reach 20 this season.

I'm going out on a limb and saying Gagner gets 20 exactly. Although I should think otherwise given that he could be given crap minutes with terrible linemates.

I just looked at TOI, Smyth and Horcoff are getting loads of PP minutes. Way ahead of Gagner and Hemsky and Omark on a PP/TOI per game basis. What gives?

Can I hope for neither? Because that's what we want, right?

Gagner's stats each year in the NHL are amazingly consistent...

79 13 36 49
76 16 25 41
68 15 26 41
68 15 27 42
62 15 27 42

For better or worse (most would say for worse I'm sure) he's put up extremely consistent results. Being such a hot and cold player it's amazing after all is said and done each year he is in the same range of goals and points every single year.

I've been longing for his next 8 point game. I don't know about you.

Gagner is due for another 3 or 4 game hot stretch before going cold for the final 10 games again.

I'll say Gagner gets 16 and Hoppy nets #20 for the GWG in the final game, clinching his Calder award.

Gagner might get 16 on his current pace.

Then again, he might not.

last year only two oilers topped 20 goals---this included the departed Slug named Penner. This year the oilers could have up to 5 players that hit 20 (Eberle, Hall, Smyth, Gagner, Hopkins)--I think that is an improvement

BTW--Am I the only one enjoying Penner's 5 goals and 14 pts this year

Epic! And sad... One of our top players from the last couple of years turn out to be a bust in another team. I know that you should always take into account the change of environment but I think it says something about our roster...

Holy ****, you're right (at first sight I thought you were BS'ing).

Penner with 21 goals and Hall with 22 goals for the Oilers last year. That's scary. I've been trying to respond to the "Oilers-doomsday-posters" by saying that despite our current form (and position in the league) we are in much better shape than last year but I never noticed (or realized) this goal-stat. Also the fact that 2 of the top 3 scorers last year were rookies, and no 4 was a grinder and no 6 was PRV... Things look alot better this year imo even though it could, and needs to be, even better.

Gagner will not reach 20 goals. He's stuck with Omark or at least he'll not get any more time together with Hall/Ebs.

RNH should be able to reach 20 (that was my vote) but it all depends on how he is used down the strech. I'll be pissed off if they don't use him as much as possible since I think he could take home the Calder (see other thread) if he manages to win the rookie scoring league.

HAGELIN TO THE OILERS!!!

Gagner will not get 20 goals. Maybe next year on a different team.

I voted RNH. He just needs to get back into rythm. He has not played as well since the last injury. Maybe he is still a little tentative.

Gosh. Barring a spectacular game by both, it looks like neither of them will reach the 20 goal plateau.

I don't know why everyone thinks we are trading Gagner. Management is still high on him.

If we draft Grigorenko, it is pretty clear how management views Gagner.

Almost 6 players with 20.
A far cry from what it was during the Penner years.

it's kinda sad really when you think about it that neither got to 20! but i can excuse RNH due to his young age, and amount of time he missed with injury. what's Mr. 8 Point Game Gagner's excuse?
