Going Pro: Who Signed With Whom? [2011-12 edition]
Yeah, it's early but there have already been a few.
Cal Heeter, formerly with Ohio State signed with the Flyers a couple of days ago, as per CSN Philly.
Yesterday, former Alaska Nanook Ron Meyers signed with the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) - as per the Nanooks website.
Today, the Providence Bruins (AHL) signed a pair of now-former Brown Bears to ATOs - G Mike Clemente and F Bobby Farnham - as per the AHL website.
I'll try and update things regularly, but if anyone else knows of any other players either NCAA or CIS (links or sites confirming should be noted) that have signed pro contracts (NHL or otherwise), please post them!

It's not completed yet, but Jaden Schwartz to leave CC, sign ELC with Blues:
Quote:
Colorado College sophomore left wing Jaden Schwartz is expected to finalize a professional deal this week with the St. Louis Blues, then he'll either play with the Blues or join the Peoria (Ill.) Rivermen of the American Hockey League. Schwartz led CC with 41 points, including 15 goals and a team-high 26 assists. He recorded four game-winners.
Rylan Schwartz has attracted interest from the Blues, sources said, but he wasnt drafted in the NHL, so he can sign with any team if he wants to leave CC.
A second rumor is Justin Schultz is set to leave Wisconsin, and sign an ELC with the Ducks:

The feeling is certain that Schultz has played his last game at Wisconsin. How quickly Ducks and his rep can agree on entry level is next.

To update on Schultz:

Agree w/@TSNBobMcKenzie on Ducks and Justin Schultz. They've wanted him signed since last year and want to play him. He's taking his time.
Obviously the best option for the Ducks is option #1. They get to control Schultz for two full seasons under his entry level contract. It's the best for them in years, and dollars.
However, Schultz has the leverage in this scenario, and If his advisor (agent when he becomes a pro) is any good he'll immediately let the Ducks know that they aren't going to get away with option number one.
Schultz has the leverage because if the Duck's don't offer to bring him in immediately at the end of the Wisconsin season, and let him burn a year off his entry level contract, he'll choose to become a free agent at the end of the season and choose his team.
He would obviously choose option 3 over option 1. He can make more money, and pick his team.
Therefore the Ducks will be forced into offering him a spot immediately at the end of the season. If they don't, they almost certainly will lose his rights.
After the season of a Freshman/Sophomore/Junior player and before the start of the next season, is there a deadline for the player to tell the school he forgoes the remaining of his college career?

An NCAA player can leave at any time, in-season or not, and enter into a CHL or pro contract (ie. Coyle left mid-December in-season from BU for Saint John in the QMJHL); there are no deadlines that I'm aware of, hence why the NCAA gets bitter when prospects or scholarships spurn them, especially for the CHL. The players just have to be of age to play in the AHL if they're not making the jump straight to the NHL.
A report out of Sweden says Sebastian Stalberg, brother of Viktor, has signed a 2yr ELC with San Jose:

After three successful seasons in the U.S. takes 22-year-old once again the same steps as his older brother and replacing the NCAA against an NHL contract. As hockeysverige.se experience comes from Gothenburg on Wednesday to sign a two-year two-way contract with the San Jose Sharks and immediately connect to the club farmarlag Worcester Sharks of the AHL. Sebastian Stεlberg Vermont has had a heavy season in the U.S. college hockey and finished last in Hockey East after only having taken six wins all season.
As I mentioned on the prospects board, if this comes to fruition, Ottawa will get a very good player. This kid has been lights out for UConn and IMO, one of, if not the best player in Atlantic Hockey this season.
i'm getting into Uconn hockey (CT being my home state) and I'm so happy for Cole.. he's been great... Any news on whether Garrett Bartus (Uconn Goalie) May sign somewhere?

Not much. My guess is he'll be offered a minor pro contract at some point.
Updated this week's listing with the Syner update, Schneider becoming official, and O'Neill's reported signing:
