Not a Leafs fan, but right now I think the Leafs hate the Bruins more than anybody. I would love for the Leafs vs Habs rivalry to be reborn though.

Most likely the Habs, its very cultural rivalry, more of Montreal vs Toronto thing, but I think the Leafs have/had a very good one with Detroit.

For me, the Leafs rivalry is:

Montreal
Ottawa
Detroit

I grew up in the 80's in the London area, and the Detroit/Toronto rivalry was great. In Baseball and in hockey.

Realistically, our biggest rivalry is the hockey gods. What we have done to those guys to make them hate is so much, I do not know.

Well, it was an English Canada vs French Canada thing (real or perceived) for a very long time.

Between the advent of more teams, the lack of recent Montréal-Toronto playoff series, and Anglos generally being less hostile towards the French* (there's still some there, but we've come a long way), it is fairly easy to see why that rivalry has cooled somewhat.

*And vice-versa, of course

Buffalo is kind of the only team in the division that everyone doesn't hate.

Ottawa hates Toronto, Montreal, Boston
Montreal hates Boston, Toronto, Ottawa
Toronto hates Montreal, Boston, Ottawa
Boston hates Montreal, Toronto, Lola at Ottawa

Ottawa hates Buffalo. I'd definitely have Toronto Buffalo basically tied for most hated

Oh, and for the record, nobody in Toronto thinks of Vancouver as a rival.

Sorry Canucks fans. It's true.

That's debateable...During the 06 and 07 playoffs, I learned to have a healthy hatred of the Sabres and I'm sure their fans felt the same way.

Rivalries are born from playoff hatred.

As for Ottawa hating Boston. Simply not true. In fact, I think Sens and Bruins fans probably get along the best because of our mutual hatred of Toronto and Montreal. I spend a lot of time in Boston and when I'm donning Sens gear, most Bruins fans come up to me to chat about hockey. My friend who wears a Habs hat gets booed and yelled at.

I don't know too many Sens fans who hate the Bruins as vociferously as they do the Leafs and Habs. It's hard for us to hate them because they have Chara and Kelly and Chiarelli too.

True. A nail can't have a rivalry with a hammer.

Totally agree,

Not to go off topic, but the reason why a lot of the French people want the Habs to have more French content on the team (Coach etc), is because of how much the Canadiens represented French Canada.

I think it's safe to say most Bruins fans hate Buffalo too after the last few years, and I think they hate the Bruins as well. The Senators are the only team in the Northeast that most Bruins fans don't hate, and, even though you listed Boston as a team for Ottawa, I think it's more lumped into everybody having to hate the Champion.
