I'm going to put this game on the core leadership. Miller struggled. Pominville was awful on the last goal, and the whole game. Vanek. What is there to say about him? He might be our worst player.
I thought CoHo had a nice game, he was moving his feet and was trying to create opportunities, thought he looked good with Ville.

Could've had a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes, but we don't bury our chances. ****ing stupid. **** this team.

Pominville was bad on the last goal but at least he's shown in past situations he can do what it takes defensively. There's an excuse for that at least. But Mike ****ing Weber out there in the most important minute of the season is completely inexcusable. Add to that continuing to throw out lines that haven't worked for damn near a decade and this loss is Lindy Ruff's fault.

Cody Hodgson is a -7 in his last six games and 0 points since he came over.

Keep up the good work, Cody!

G:

- The FES line. Solid games from all 3.
- Ehrhoff
- Leino
- The PK for the most part

B:

- Sitting back and letting the game slip away
- The powerplay
- Weber
- Officiating was terrible. Eagle-eye on Kaleta and yet Downie gets away with blatant elbows and cross-checks right in front of the refs.

U:

- So close
- Downie

Is there a reason Roy and Pominville always seem to be on their *****? Seriously, they fall over about 10 times per game, it's insane.

A great coach once told me "Good players on good teams don't trip." And the idea wasn't that they slip up from time to time. It's that they are there when it counts, and that's what makes them good. No excuses.

So is our 5-on-6 plan to just collapse around Miller and pray?

That's what all teams do when they're a man down to a point.

Pierre was right next to the bench so I would imagine he wold know.

But my point was a coach can tell players to do one thing but the play of the other team or panic can force things the other way.

That coach clearly demanded 100% perfection, which is unreasonable.

Pommers has been very good defensively all season, and most of his career. He tripped. While wearing skates. On ice.

it's unbelievable that this happens 2 games in a row. I was thinking the last game vs Montreal that I can't remember a team ever scoring on the Sabres with less then 10 seconds to go. I know they've done it a bunch of times to other teams.

G:
- Foligno, Ennis, Stafford ... self-explanatory.
- Roy finishing his checks all over the place tonight.

B:
- Kaleta's dumb penalties.
- McNabb, Weber were poor ... can't wait to scratch Weber, so long kid.
- Where the **** was Vanek tonight?
- Hodgson could've really used a goal instead of a post (in the first minute of the game).

U:
- No win.
- No OT win.
- No SO win.
- ****!!!

OT:
- No-calls and line changes are getting ridiculous in NHL games.

And against Montreal? He was doing **** all that night as well. Quit making excuses for him. I'm not saying it's completely his fault, but he doesn't do **** on that play.

No leadership to be seen, Vanek, Roy, Pominville, ALL MIA

They've got the yips now. Once? It happens. Twice? It's in their heads now. I expect at least one more tying goal to be scored in the final 10 seconds against them between now and the end of the season.

Well, either Pierre is wrong and Lindy was telling them to do something else, or the players just don't listen to what Lindy says. Either way there's a problem there.
