We can pull a New Jersey. They went on a longer hot streak though so perhaps karma was nicer to them.

* Cole's high five of the ref

* Karlsson's sidewinder hold on DD

* Karlsson's & Eller's arguement in the penalty box. lmao

Price stopped Alfredsson's 5-for-5 streak in the shoot-out too, and we're 2-0-1 since Markov returned. Bourque actually played tonight. It was still frustrating watching him miss some solid chances & bobbling the puck all the time, but at least he got those chances. He was involved.

Overall the team worked hard & played well. Kills our tank though.
I agree, he reminds me of M. 46

If we play our best game from the here on out, the players will play more confidently next year, giving us a better chance to rebound, high pick or not.

That's true. Ottawa played quite well at the end of last season. They ended up drafting 6th but they've played with real swagger this year, plus Zibanejad might be pretty good. I just hope we can replenish our depth and get some good prospects.

Wow, that is just. Bergy...argh...so stupid

a) Clearly it was an awesome moment for the fans
b) He very well could have won the SO
c) Is Bergy trying to make the playoffs?

I think he just misses Gomaize

That was massive karma. Win lottery and even get Larsson. I wanna talk **** but after that run, they deserved it.

There's still hope we win against the Flyers, plus I have a GDT in the works.

I don't remember who said it (a radio/tv personality that was an ex-NHL player), but he said that there's no such thing as creating momentum for the next season. There's too much time apart that it doesn't matter what you do now, it just doesn't translate.

Especially considering we're probably looking at a new coach next season. There's simply nothing good that we can do at this point.

I almost prefer to pick 8 instead of 3. Less chance of yielding to heavy pressure for a 'lock', and a better chance for a sleeper.

And better yet, not hearing near as much BS from the hindsight crew on HF.

This team just has too much swag right now to lose most of their remaining games. Markov, even not playing at full capacity, totally changes this team. You can say I'm pretty worried right now but it's looking good for next year.

I don't think so, not anymore. Those other clubs are sinking like a stone and we've started to play some good hockey. We're also playing a bunch of weak teams going forward too.

I think we'll pass TO, Isles and Canes. That puts us 6th. Minny is still a possibilty so 7th is also realistic. I think we'll draft 6th.

Palushaj needs a damn NHL goal.

I might actually be the only person here who actually likes Palushaj. Clearly not a goal scorer but he does some good things. Very good at driving possession (though in pretty soft minutes) from what I've seen. That's a good sign.

I'm not expecting him to rack up assists with the guys he's playing with and the icetime he gets but if I remember well from an article from Boucher scouting, Palushaj gets a terrible conversion rate on his completed Ozone passes but he has pretty good sucess rate for actually making the passes but a team worst 1% conversion rate wich fits well with his terrible 5on5 on ice shooting % of 4.49%.

RDS crying at Gorges contract, someone names Zanon and Volchenkov as example of D who do what Gorges does for about 1.5-2M$. Zanon makes 2.1 in salary and is a UFA next summer, he'll get 3+ easily. Volchenkov makes 4.25M$.

No

1 line is scoring
Markov I love him but it's pre-season for him.
Plek play with a 3rd liner and a 4th liner
Eller play with two AHL'er
Our defense stinks
Our coach suck

Maybe not the momentum, I agree, but this team was really not that bad to begin with.

Games are much easier to win when you have no pressure on you and you're playing loose.. The last 4 games as an example.. I pray to Jesus you'll be right though about drafting top 5..

The OT was like a microcosm of our season, faults and strengths.

We are over-reliant on PK, Price, the DD line. One of those things doesn't click, we lose.

Markov is a difference maker. Pray on that knee.

RC throwing Campoli out there was pure tank, & nearly mission accomplished. A blight on an otherwise passable performance by him. RC ignores Eller, but has White running around in OT for an extended shift.

Plex hits the post, of course.

Weber disappears, looks like he wants off the ice.

Still lots of holes on the team, you can't get shelled in the shots dept like that nightly and win. We still need the PG-RC combo to go.
