He needs more seasoning in the AHL too.

I think you mistook my meaning. I wasn't hoping for it, or saying we should consider losing Perry at all; just that if doomsday comes, we at least have something to fall back on.

Nate Guenin and his heroin eyes are the only toughness on the team.

Yeah I knew what you meant. I really hope Palmieri isn't plan B though if that happens. Right now I can't see him producing enough if it came to that. After a year or so on the second line maybe, but against top defenders and so on? We'll see.

...And Parros, who isn't needed against the Wings, as they have negative toughness. Literally, they have a negative ratio.

So that was an interference penalty.

But what happened to the "penalize the retaliation?" as Helm interferes back with Pelley?

I think we need to pull him out of the AHL. Just like if we sent Fowler to Windsor, there's nothing more he can learn from the minors. He isn't being challenged physically or with established NHL systems (forechecking, collapse D). He can score at will at the minor league level. He's wasting his time there. But when he comes here he can't seem to score. He needs to adapt to this system and work out the kinks with on the job training. I think the worst thing we can do is let him go back to the AHL. The longer we keep him there, the longer it'll take to round him out at this point. He looks like a pro out there, he just needs the professional experience to be able to be a finisher.

Especially with the season all but over. When Perry comes back we move him down to the second line with Teemu and Saku.

Except Fowler was impressive, Palmieri's done nothing.

Remember how long it took Cam to get a goal? A point. 5 points?

I've seen KP the last two games. The talent is obvious. He just needs the experience to start finishing plays. He needs to adapt to what this league is going to throw at him night in and night out. The days of the AHL are over for him. He's mastered that, and he'll continue to dominate there cause he's found away to abuse the league. He needs to take what he's learned and apply and grow it here. Especially these next 12 games. No point sending him down.

It's beside the point. The playoffs are no longer an option for us. It's time to get Palmieri seasoned. He looked like a Perry lite out there. He just couldn't finish.

Well, Syracuse has won 5 of 6 and is driving for the playoffs. That's actually a pretty good reason to send him back.

Nah, he's not good enough for the NHL yet. Send him back, let him make the playoffs with Syracuse.

Syracuse has opted out of our affiliation agreement despite Murray making more moves for the farm team than he did for the big club. Don't see why we need to show them any more loyalty if they're kicking us to the curb. We can keep one prospect.

This isn't about Syracuse, this is about letting an unseasoned player develop.

Exactly. High pressure of driving for the playoffs (and hopefully playoffs) as a team leader > a few meaningless games with some disgruntled vets IMO.
