Lindy Ruff, Darcy Regier, and Terry Pegula... have set this franchise back a half decade in the last year+

Thank you for bringing some sanity back to this board. I started to write something similar in the GDT - tired of reading about bad Miller played but deleted it figuring why waste keystrokes?

Just prior to your slo-mo analysis. the entire team went back on their collective heels as Landeskog picked the puck up and started his rush.
It was like "Welcome to our zone Mr. Landeskog. Have enough room to operate Mr. Landeskog? Can we help you make a play Mr. Landeskog? Hey, everyone watch Mr. Landeskog... he's going to be great someday."

So the ping pong play happens as you describe while Pommer doesn't get position on McGinn (?) and the puck is tapped into the open net behind Miller.... who made two saves on the play.

Anyone check the SOG's at the end of the game?

We were outshot 42 to 24.

We had 11 shots in the first then 3, 8 and 2 for a total of 24.

Avs had 14,11,16 and 1.

I believe in free will, not fate. Yes, once a series of events unfolded in a certain way to a certain point, you could say the goal was a product of bad luck.

I would look at it another way. A better team makes better plays leading up to that goal such that a few stupid mishaps can not occur, and if they do, they do not result in the puck going in the net.

Your argument is like the motorcyclist who drives down the side of the road, someone in a parked car opens the door, the biker is distracted for a moment, and the biker hits the door and cuts his leg off. Was that all "bad luck" ? Bad timing? The door opened at the wrong time? The motorcyclist was distracted at just the wrong moment?

BS! A good rider doesn't put himself in that position in the first place. If you are riding so close to parked cars that a moment of distraction, some bad luck, and off timing results in an accident, you just don't know what you are doing. Or you could at least be riding better. And a better rider would not put himself in that position, ever.

The "bad luck" mentality is precisely what plagues this mediocre organization and why they have won nothing. And why changes need to be made. I'm no fan of Regier, but moving Lindy along in favor of a new, good coach would be a good start.

"Bad luck" is such vintage Buffalo, and so lame! Why not demand better?

I know there's a Roy joke in there somewhere.

Meh. Blowing the lead two games in a row in the dying seconds speaks volumes about this team's level of compete.

You can't let goals like that happen, not this late in the season.

This game is going to bother me for awhile.

Anyone know if the Kings timekeeper is looking for a job?

G:
FES

B:
Brain farts. They just made some really bad decisions with the puck tonight.
Weber.

U:
2 games in a row allowing a VERY late goal.
Pierre and Milbury. Both just need to shut up.

It speaks to their lack of competant defensive players at the moment. Sekera and Goose were relied on heavily for that the last several weeks. We can get away without one of them but not both. There really isn't a replacement for either right now.

Not really. Competing hard hasn't been the team's problem during it's recent surge.

It speaks volumes about their ability to buckle down mentally and preserve the victory. Not their compete level.

They didn't take Ruff, Roy and Miller out back and shoot them when Pegula took over.

Don't know how the majority of the fan base would've felt if we went into rebuild as soon as terry took over

G-
Ehrhoff
Leino
Foligno
Ennis
Stafford
Regehr

Congrats to Foligno and Sulzer

B-
2nd period wasn't as aggressive
Weber
Vanek

U-
Mcguire
Could of been because Pominville fell, but leaving the back door open ... Again

Was at the game, the crowd was really into it for a change. Mario Williams was at the game and we began to chant "We want Mario" with 30 seconds left in the game, maybe that jinxed us...-.-

G-
Ennis, Stafford, Foligno
Ehrhoff-He seriously is the best Dman we have ever had IMO. Nearly always makes the right decision, great passer, and wicked shot.
Thought Roy had a decent game as well.

B-
Cody hitting post in first minute, the rest of his game was pretty sad. He doesn't skate hard, and is lazy in the corners.
Vanek was HORRIBLE tonight. He has to be injured, he is skating so slow that I could blow past him...
Refs were not calling anything at all...This league is becoming a bush league, and its going to attract no fans if this continues. Can we say next lockout soon enough?

U-
Avs scoring with 1.7 seconds left, losing in a SO, Ennis SO attempt, Pommers always shooting on his attempt. Anyone watching film will know what hes going to do each time. 4 points back of playoff spot
Lande allowed to skate all over us
Myers being suspended, Weber. Gerbe hurt
Them allowing the back door player to skate openly.
Ruff is such a bad coach. For the last 10 minutes his goal was to protect the lead, after having so many chances in the 1st, we should of kept pushing. He puts line out there that make no sense, especially in the last 2 minutes when the goalie was pulled. I hope he is fired this off season.

Sabres had 3 shots in the 2nd and 8 in the 3rd?

That means they sat back in the 3rd, right?
