Not like he's doing THAT well. 55 points in 42 games at the AHL level. Problem is, he has no finish at the next level. Get him some confidence down in the minors, and let him see a playoff.
He also happens to be playing for one of the worst teams in the AHL. It's not like he's got much to work with.
It's not a question of confidence. From my viewpoint he's oozing confidence right now, he's just been unlucky. It's about seeing more consistent NHL time. I'm thinking about our team. Not our soon to be former affiliate. And the way I see it, the more NHL time he gets, the better NHL experience he'll have.
