On a side note, I'm so darn happy we have a guy like PK going forward. Damn that kid is good. He will dominate this game.

Those other clubs suck just like us.

let see what happen after this weekend. Sens will want their revenge and Habs will have to play back to back games saturday .

We will be lucky to get 1 point
Don't forget as teams clinch they will rest regulars and the habs will be on fire to salvage morale.I can't worry anymore where we end up and I hoe you guys don't either. Keep your expectations low and you'll keep a smile on your face.

reality check

Odds are that Galchenyuk will still be available around 6,7 and even 8.

I'm guessing one of Galchenyuk or Forsberg will fall at least to 6.

That's true.

I was hoping for a lottery win though. If you come in third you actually have a small shot at it.

You think so? I don't know man, he seems to be highly regarded. Even with the injury he's still up there.

We should be able to pick up a nice 4th line grinder at the draft.

I agree. He will be a hit or miss. Out with a huge injury for the year. Only 3 regular season games and the POs to prove himself. Not sure that'll be enough to solidify a top 5 pick. Let's not forget that his great year came playing along side Yakupov.
If he doesn't have really strong POs, I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped down to 10+.

MaxPac could (In hindsight) easily have been drafted top 5 in 2007.

Yet he went 22nd overall...

The draft will work out this year.

That depends on where we pick. I'm not sure I'd pick him if we had the 3rd pick with Yakupov and Grigs out.
There's some good Dmen and other forwards that represent less of a risk. But one thing I won't have access too is his medical report, nor will I evaluate him at the combine. IF he's truly healthy, then he's definitely up there.

No matter retarded our management has been, I don't have as much problem trusting Timmins to make a strong pick. If he's picked, I won't be disappointed that's for sure.

I guess the only thing we as fans can look for is the OHL POs.

Gaunce seems like the ultimate Toronto pick. Big with questionable offensive upside.

His new trick to overplay the 4th liners is to put them on with the skills players for "energy".
I could say it's not his fault that we don't have more depth on the wing but I could also say that he's driven 2/3 of a playoff team's first line out of town too (+ completely neutered the most important 1/3 of that line).

The big line have been involved in the last 7 goals we've scored and in 19 of our last 25 goals.

Ya, if we keep going like this and go 5-4-2 or better the last 11 games we might pick 8th-10th

didnt catch the whole game, tuning into habs express. But feels good to win, just would be nice to get a good pick. These games remind us that there is good talent in this team and how horribly wrong this season has gone and how little faith we had left in the players we have.

That and East teams are real garbage this year.

Getting a DMan would be perfectly fine, we build from the net out with Gorges, Subban, Beaulieu, Tinordi and Trouba/Rielly/Dumba ect.

Looks great. We just need a legit young goalie to go with them (draft Subban?)

We should still draft a good young keeper. Thinking Price will be great, uninjured, and will remain here for the rest of his career is kind of a steep expectation.
You never know what can happen, so you have to prepared. Worse case he develops into a strong asset that we can move. Nothing wrong with that.

I think Price has a really good SO record in his last 5.

SO are kind of a crapshoot over a small sample, imagine if we had our SO of the last few ones at the beggining of the season. We probably don't fire the coach, trade Cam and AK and we're probably in the PO right now.
He did a Markov-esque backhand move, too.

This is from whitesnake in the GDT

I've rarely seen St-Denis looking awfully bad in all of his stints. Another Gorges type of D. I hope he has a real chance of at least be #7 in here. Enough with AHL time, even as #7, he'll learn more in practices and in getting a few games here and there.
I agree with the comparison, however I do like St Denis' shot better compared to Gorges', its seems he can shoot from the point and get it on net quite a bit, albeit not that hard or fast, but he does shoot low. His anticipation is also great, if he can solidify his passing game, he could spring some good counter attacks from the back end. Could be a real useful #7. You don't notice him, and that's a good thing.

It's true that we lack depth in goal, I agree 100%. But we already have the piece to build from, and that was he was referring too. You're right though, beyond Price, it's empty.
