I agree with the comparison, however I do like St Denis' shot better compared to Gorges', its seems he can shoot from the point and get it on net quite a bit, albeit not that hard or fast, but he does shoot low. His anticipation is also great, if he can solidify his passing game, he could spring some good counter attacks from the back end. Could be a real useful #7. You don't notice him, and that's a good thing.
St-Denis showed a lot of poise and some timely pokechecks and pretty good recovery tonight, he impressed me, Gorges is a good comparison.

Speaking of Gorges: league leader in shot blocking, that's nice.

Even if we just had Gionta back we could have turned things around this year.

We should have been front of the line for Bishop. He'd be our starter.

Gorges is an absolute warrior. The guy needs to be a Hab for life and I wouldn't mind seeing him getting the Captaincy when we pass it on from Gio (not that Gio needs to go necessarily).

Looks great. We just need a legit young goalie to go with them (draft Subban?)
Why draft a dman when we could sign Schultz from Anaheim for free?

Well the first line wouldn't play as much.
They benefit from all the good match ups, they get the most minutes, play the most on the PP and get the top defensive pair to cover the point.
Also, we could have had a 2nd line. RC worked real hard to make sure that doesn't happen.

This is all because I took a vacation and BOOM... that back stabbing Markov returns and we start getting points on the board! I might just go buy a Markov jersey just so I can wipe myself with it and burn it all up in the woods!

The worst part is we all know he's going to miss exactly 70 % of the year next year, but his 30% will be just enough to get us to 9th place...

Back to topic, I swear I'm done with HF if we win!
So how do we go about enforcing this?

very true. was thinking about that tonight. he has chemistry with pleky and is a tireless worker. that line would've been a much bigger threat...maybe would've woken Bjork up too

St. Denis is a good hockey player. I've yet to see him make a glaring error on the ice. He's also really composed for a player with limited nhl experience. He has good mobility and is willing to take the hit to make the play. He has good on ice awareness.

He's a solid depth guy.

You do realize a mere week prior many here were mocking Toronto for finishing ninth while we get a top pick. Sort of ironic it might be the reverse that happens and we will hurt because of it. Grigorenko would look damn good centering Kessel and Lupul, hence why I'd much rather see him centering our group. I'm glad the boys look to be having fun for the first time in months but we are damaging the future because of ten games that amount to absolutely nothing.

Suppose if Long Island and Toronto stop sucking so damn badly. It will all work itself out. Is that even possible with how they're playing?

Damn... i love seeing Eller on the powerplay! This guy has a nice shot actually! I tought of him as THE playmaker on a line but he's good all around. I do not get the fuss around drafting a center. Really. We just need those wingers... (We had one...) Gionta returns = put him with Bourque he'll make him move. (On eller's wing!) then we need guys for Pleks.
This team is not that bad. Really love how St-Denis plays. Might be an asset in a trade.

From what I know we are still in the top 5 with less ROW and less games remaining to play.

A top line with Pacioretty and Forsberg on the wings in a few years...

BTW-Pacioretty now has 7 game pts-streak and has 46 ES pts which is the most by any Habs since Koivu had 48 ES pts in 02-03.

Pernel has 9 point over his 9 last games !!! 4 goals 5 passes.

19 Points for DD in his last 19!

Erik Cool with 7 over 6 games !

that team is on fire.

The big line has basically maintained a PPG pace in 2012.

* Karlsson's & Eller's arguement in the penalty box. lmao

Price stopped Alfredsson's 5-for-5 streak in the shoot-out too, and we're 2-0-1 since Markov returned. Bourque actually played tonight. It was still frustrating watching him miss some solid chances & bobbling the puck all the time, but at least he got those chances. He was involved.

Overall the team worked hard & played well. Kills our tank though.
Cole's high five is probably the highlight of the season!
Which really showcases how epic it was and what kind of season it has been.

Karlsson and Eller know each other from playing together in Sweden so..

price131 from your posts in the Halak thread and, well, your name I inferred you were one of Price fans and didn`t like Halak. Now it`s obvious you`re not a fan of any of them. My question is who would be better, but no Lundqvist-Rinne (it`s uneralistic)

You propose also that the Habs go for Bishop, but IMHO that guy has proven nothing yet. He could be great or a sacond Boucher (5 SO streak and now a back-up)

If you were trolling the whole time, then my bad.
