this is what i called him in the nickname thread, since he can go from making a HON type of save one minute to letting in a peewee level goal the next.

didnt see the game, but wish i did now, sounds like it was a good one.

Good win, nothing to complain about. Hopefully this level of effort continues for the rest of the season.

Glad the Kids got points.

Next game will be the test to see if this group has taken a look in the mirror. Based on the past 60 games, I'm not sure they will figure it out.

I said that in my post. I said that i hope that Renney KEEPS him in the top 4.

That doesn't excuse him not playing top 4 minutes prior to tonight but better late than never i suppose.

Also, it would be nice if he kept Hall and Hemsky together, both the RNH-Eberle and Hall-Hemsky lines will be better off for it.

If I say the Oilers won she'll most lightly give me a lecture on why oil drillng is bad and that I should focus more on cycling or soccer... She's 1/2 Italian and 1/2 French...

my error - you are right...why he hasn't been in the top 4 is bizarre. No excuse from me for Renney.

You lucky *******!

Anyways, that was a great game. Petry is so damn solid defensively. I hope we can string together some wins and the young guys continue to rack up points/confidence.

It took JT 3 years to hit 30 (29 last year). Eberle 2. Hall should probably hit it too.

Team Canada right there

Add in Kane and perhaps Seguin, and you get one sexy, young, big, fast team.

I must say I liked the Smyth/Horcoff/Omark line tonight, right amount of minutes for them, good effort, icing on the cake at the end, seems like those three click together.

The only "clicking" going on with that line was coming from Ryan Smyth's old man hip.

I hope they regard the Calgary game as the digest game of the year, since they pretty much have nothing to play for except be spoilers and securing the high draft pick.

This win doesn't excuse the fact that they are a bad team.

Came onto the radio feed with like 15 minutes to go in the third. Every time Hopkins shot the puck the hoers spoke of how it should/could have been a goal and how Hopkins could have easily had six goals at some point in the game despite the fact that he had only 3 shots on net. Kinda funny.

Can't believe Peckham was in the line-up so soon considering how badly he messed things up just a few games ago.

Goalposts are not counted as shots on net. Neither are shots wide and missed shots into yawning cages. 6 goals couldve happened if EVERYTHING went right.

Omark was fine, 1 real hit (first one ive ever seen hahaha), played solid defense and tried to connect with Horcs and Smyth who were playing like they didn't know you can pass the puck, not just shuffle it around the boards. From what i saw from this game, Omarks 2 way game has evolved remarkably but there isn't much "Omark" left in him.

In all fairness, Oilers must be one of the worst teams i've seen lately and if anything good happends its just because of invidual talent or lucky bounces. Team play and systems are none excisting. There is zero genuine puck possession going during offense, a maximum of two passes in a row and then shuffle hockey around the boards. No sustained pressure from controlled cycling, and if nothing radical happens with how this team plays as a team, i dont see them in a playoffs any century soon.

To sum it up: BOOORING and such a waste on talents like Ebs, Nuge and Hall. I hope that they will trade or put Omark on waivers so he can get to a team that actually thinks hockey one step further than dump, chase and shuffle. Its clear to me he simply doesn't fit the so called "system" and the same goes with MPS (although to a smaller degree). Omark doesn't need Horc or Smyth, he needs MPS and/or Lander, who actually has a background in cycle play from SEL, to succeed. The same goes for MPS and Lander.

Oilers hockey is pond hockey... and its random, work hard and hoping for the best.

Sorry if im a bit harsh but WTF!! Stayed up all night to watch this gargabe and they are getting praised because the won against another garbage team, without making more than what(?), 2-3 successive controlled passes in offensive zone? A nice shot by Nuge, lucky rebound out to Hall, and a pointless emty netter from Omark.

Lottery team with a lottery system...
