Got drafted by the Braves in RTTS. Currently batting .260ish with 5 HR and 35 RBI so far. The hitting is a lot tougher this season. While I usually reach the goals, any time I'm told to draw walks it's useless. I can't hold off swinging to save my life.
I really hate some details in this game. Last year, if a player had 4 RBIs in a game, it would show during the game at bats, this year it's only " single in 2nd, double in 4th".

I hate that.
If I could ever get 4 RBIs in a game, this might annoy me.
I took a no hitter into the 9th with Brandon Morrow and Ben Revere leading of the 9th hit a bouncer into the hole and it hit off Lawries glove it was scored a base hit...
I have not played a baseball game since Ken Griffey Jr. N64 or whatever it was called.
So I decided to branch out and go baseball this year and got 2k12 (Xbox owner) and will not watch anything on the show so I have no comparison, and I am enjoying it very much for the 2 weeks ive had it. The build up of your my player feels much more "real" in baseball as you improve and get called from the minors and what-not.
2) One pitch that is obviously out of the zone, but called a strike anyways. This is the ump having a "personality". Doesn't that mean borderline calls, not ridiculous out of the zone by four inches calls?
3) Strikeout, because I no longer know what the strike zone is, or solid contact followed by an unbelievable fielder's play. I just lined out three at bats in a row, all of them diving catches.
So yeah, I see they've fixed the issues from the last three years. Well done San Diego.
Oh, and on top of this, my player went through a minor injury, was out two days, and now am relegated to bench duties despite having the best offensive numbers on the team. Three years it's been like this and they haven't done a thing.
First year, awful average (.208) but had a decent amount of homers and RBI...
Second year I got pushed to AAA. I'm SO CLOSE to making it to the Pirates, and I keep quitting RTTS and re-loading it... they want to trade me for Brad Lidge (He's somehow in SEATTLE).
I don't want to play for the damn Mariners. Why can't I tell my manager that I DO NOT WANT TRADED.

You would think they'd give you that option
you're a AAA player.. you don't have much of a say; you're just a trading chip. wait a couple of year when you become a free agent.
I got drafted by the Red Sox, then traded to the White Sox prior to my AAA call-up.... traded to the A's prior to the trade deadline
I got called up to AAA after one game (Brewers, SS). Must have been an injury or something. I got frustrated though because I was never hitting my goals so I simulated 3-years and my guy suckkkkkkkkkkkkked.
So I started over and I'm about 1 1/2 months in. I'm still in AA in the Blue Jays organization (2B) but I'm doing really really well. Off memory, I'm at .379 AVG, 11 HR, 38 RBI, .420 OBP. I've moved up from the #8 hole in the line-up to the #3 hole (#4 hole when Snider isn't in the line-up). I'd imagine I'll be called up fairly shortly.
Just threw a one hitter with my Rtts pitcher, the one hit being an infield single in the 9th. Nooooooo
Infield defence is always complete **** in RTTS as a pitcher. I was a sinkerball pitcher last year and there were so many easy grounders that the 2b/SS let through or botched the grab or air-mailed it into the stands. I had to change my approach and be a strikeout guy if I wanted to keep my hits down to a manageable level (and meet the hit # goals), even if it meant throwing a ton of pitches and being out of the game by the end of the 6th inning.

completed my 3rd year with the A's as an all-star closer. During my 3 year stint, my team has never made a playoffs. Management tried to offer me 3 years/27 million extension in the offseason. I declined, so traded me to the freakin' Marlins. Went to arbitration and requested 12 million, but ended up with 8.7 million for 1 year.
At the end of the year, i believe i become a free agent
