It looks like they waiting for morning to hit in Nashville to announce it.

It is almost 4pm in Moscow. People would get drunk there soon. Nobody would care.

So I guess they among for NA public to get the news. Which is promising.

GDI! Was hoping to see a big breaking news banner on the NHL section of ESPN. Come on!

Also I love how Nashville's Severe Weather Alert Twitter account posted this last night:

"@NashSevereWx No word on the whereabouts of Radulov, Preds fans. Sorry. (Non-hockey fans, please ignore that)."

Whole city is caught up by Manning sweepstakes and Radulov. I want to move back!

I don't know that the NHL office has to be open for an announcement to be made, but that's possible

Didn't think about it last night, but if the decision is to return to Nashville then I would imagine it would be a huge, negative story in Russia. Maybe it is better for their camp to release an announcement during the day here/at night in Russia.

Latest!!!
From his Russian agent exclusively for Sport-Express:
-here is the thing, it is all said in KHL rules, after certurn deadline, which already passed, club can't terminate contract on his own. Player has such right but will be sunctioned by the club and forfeit 2/3 of his salary. They can terminate contract with both parties approval. But then club will lose player's rights. Of course Ufa doesn't want to lose Radulov's rights that they hold for next season. That's why we have a little pause for now.

So the KHL has cleared Radulov to come back, but the club has not? Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. How is this joke league run?

oh **** me.....

if rads is coming back he should just say "screw you" to Ufa the way he did to Nashville and head on back over.

Im thinking he's going to stall so as to play as little as possible over here...

I am back to "I'll believe it when I see it" status....

If a club agrees to release a player, or both parties agree to terminate a contract, isn't 100% of the salary forfeited? What's this 2/3rds business?

Tserberis, I have to say I look for your posts in this thread. Thanks for staying on top of things in the russian press/twitter-verse. You're like our version of McKenzie or Dreger. I guess I should make that McKenzivich or Dregervich.

And I'm with voldy here ... I'll believe it when I see it.

Rads can terminate it on his own. Then he loses 2/3 of his salary.

Right, but is that 2/3rds of his final year salary with Ufa? If so, it seems to me that terminating the contract should result in a loss of 100% of salary. Maybe Russian contract law just makes no sense to me.

Radulov and Ufa both expect him to be gone, so he is definitely going to terminate his contract. It still doesn't necessarily mean he is coming over. He could go to another KHL team or simply not play anywhere until the WC, and then sign with a team next year.

This still isn't a sure thing

2/3 of money already paid. 2/3 of money to be paid, or was his contract for 3 years thus only getting 2/3.

what salary is there to lose? if he wasnt going to play there anyway he wouldnt have any salary next year?

Or does he have to repay 2/3 of his salary from this previous year? or pay 2/3 of his salary for next year to the team as a buyout?

I think current year. Why would he even bother thinking about terminating it if he would still get paid for next year 1/3???

If Radulov will come to NA and become RFA in the summer, will he sign with Nashville?

2/3 of next year's salary or 2/3 of the salary he just earned this year?

If it's next year's, then what's the freaking point? If he's not planning on playing for them then why should he even get 1/3 of it. To me that's just the "right thing to do", you know, the type of thing most of us do without even thinking (that in order to get paid for something you must provide something).

Or is this just Rads being Rads and squeezing every last ounce of juice from the lemon?
