I thought I remember hearing the original plan was to only sell this section on a game to game basis but I guess the Rangers changed their plans. I heard it is nice up there I am just surprised they put STH,s in that section.
It was, but brokers started to buy "group tickets" for every single game and basically turned them into season tickets, taking 20 seats at a time...
have you ever sat there? Everyone I spoke to who has said it is really cool and they are "hardcore supporters".
Yes I sat there. It's a unique view but the atmosphere is terrible. You are sitting in an isolated little cubicle. You are not part of the crowd, just above it. To place hardcore blueseats up there is a travesty.
I love the West Balcony but wouldn't want more than 3-4 games/yr up there. With that said, I'd gladly trade my 314 D's (now 221 row 5's) straight up for a west balcony pair to a few games next yr. $73 face is higher than West balcony but to me they are equal value...
In fact, if anyone has West Balcony's and wants to do that, I'm game...
That gives me an interesting idea: what if you could buy a package that would allow you trade in a few of your games for other seats, just so you could change it up once in a while. That would be awesome.
Exchange equal value seats on the other side of the rink just to see what it's like, trade in 2 games for more expensive seats down low for a change, etc.
We want to renew but either the price upgrade makes it prohibitive, we are less then thrilled with where our new seats are, or a combination of the two. I know I have previously stated I would not be renewing, however if someone here would be interested in splitting next season perhaps we could come to a agreement that would be beneficial to both of us.
So I ask: Is anyone interested in splitting next season?
My new seats are in section 209. Row 21. I think seats 9 and 10.
$50.
I would obviously need you to take at least 20 games to make this work.
PM if interested.
This offer is still on the table if anyone is interested.
Hey I have a question...just renewed my tix for next year. Was wondering how does the 10% playoff rebate work and when I will be receiving it.
When you renew your tickets for next year and order your playoff tickets for this year you will be only charged 90% for you playoff tickets. I have seats in the 300,s so the first round I am only billed 91.80 per game as compared to $102. It is an incentive to renew early. In my case I was renewing anyway so it is a no-brainer. With all the upheaval I hope most STH,s renew. Unfortunately it seems like it might take a season or two to work everything out. I feel bad for the guys assigned the last row in their pricepoint and maybe the Rangers could have implemented a more gradual price climb but from what I understand nobody in the 400,s was assigned seats in the lower part of the section. The West Balcony assignments surprised me but someone here stated that apparently they ran out of 400 level equivalent seats. I am in row 10 of 16 in my section which is right in the middle but I was row 9 in my current section so I guess they tried to keep it the same. A co-worker of mine who was one section away from me towards the net got assigned to my section next year so he made out.

That's not right because when you pay for round one it's 100% of the four games up front. They rebate the 10% later
what do you mean what for? with everyone complaining about prices, being relocated, etc.. someone was bound to go there to talk to them and give them a piece of their mind

But I don't get the point, you can just as easily pick up the phone or email them. You won't get anything from showing up in person, but if you feel the need part of the relocation process is to allow requests to meet face to face at the garden
has anyone gone to the season subscriber booth and talked to any reps since the whole price structure came out?
I was at the game last night and there were folks there asking questions on the relocation.
Interesting thing was that through out the game, the Rangers were advertising that if you buy 2012-13 season tickets, you will get playoff tickets for this season. I imagine these would be the lower bowl expensive seats that they still have not sold for this season.
The guy who brings me/throws me tickets to 5-8 games a year is meeting with his rep before the game tomorrow. Tickets have been in the family for over 40 years and he's unhappy with his relocation.
I'm going to the game with him and would love to hear the convo, but I'll let them have their one on one time.

Was in 305, not sure of where he's heading specifically...just that he's more in the corner and higher up. $73 seats. Will let you know more after tonight.
Yes it was. Was that a contest for $10,000 for people who renewed early? Ya know, it would have been nice to have been able to enter that contest. But the ticket fiasco prevented me from renewing. Wonder if those "contestants" were plants...
