Karel Rachunek, I Know he's not in the NHL this season but can't recall as tp why, is it contractual issues.

He's in Russia this season on big dinero. He didn't want to come back to the Rangers this year as I understand it.

I did read somewhere recently (can't recal where tho!), that he may comr back to the NHL next year. I guess that's what happens when he suddenly sees the struggling team he left behind, doing well

i think he would have to clear waivers to come back over this season, but i could be wrong. obviously, he would not clear.

I heard somewhere also that the russian teams are struggling to pay the players. Some haven't been paid in two months. Amazing how one can change their opinion of the Rangers when their greed and ego aren't met in another league.

I partically despise people who only associate themselves with winners and don't want to work with a losing team to make things right. That was pretty much how he felt coming from Ottawa. Now that the Rangers are winning he'd allow himself to play with them? NO THANKS!!! Trade him for draft picks.

I recently read on the board that Maloney(I think) was just over in Russia checking on Rachunek and another Rangers prospect(Marek maybe). If the Rangers do bring him over, it would be at the next transfer window, and he would have to try out for the Rangers just like all other newcomers.

We should just sticky a Rachunek thread because as one dissapears another one pops up. It would be easier to just keep a thread open and prominently displayed because it seems like a reoccuring subject.
