I don't care if he's not 100%, he has to play. If he's at home in bed with a 103 fever, thats one thing. But he's ON THE ICE RIGHT NOW AND FOR EXTRA TIME WITH THE SCRATCHES.

This is a Torts move to down play the matchup. Us playing Biron makes it look like we can handle them without Hank.

Stupid move. This game is huge.

No Cally or MDZ is troubling but I believe in Marty.

I know that the Pens are obviously a superior team to Carolina but I'm hoping that Biron got a confidence boost from that game. We can win this game with him.

Is it possible Hank is just getting extra practice time after missing practice the other days?

I'm hoping Hank is just getting in some extra practice. The compete level in Hank won't allow Biron to start. This game is too important.

Torts playing mind games?...maybe he is letting everyone think biron is in net and think that cally is out....and then BOOM, Cally's in the lineup and Henke is in net when game time hits.

I'd do it, it would get pittsburgh relaxed and thinking not much to worry about and then BOOM right before the game they get the rangers lineup and they become wicked nervous.

I know, I'm insane....torts probably is making these decisions because henke is not well enough to play and cally and mdz aren't ready yet and we need to win a few more games to clinch a playoff berth and not worry about where we are in the standings and be fully healthy for the playoffs, that is probably torts thinking

hank isnt 100 percent, marty is. fine by me. this game isn't the be all, end all for the season.

No sense in going crazy just yet. Lundqvist could very well be getting some extra practice in to shake the rust. He hasn't skated in a couple of days. If he's healthy enough to be out for practice, I don't see why he wouldn't get the start.

If the mods are protecting Sid from injury just being mentioned, imagine how the refs are going to handle the game.

DarrenDreger: Sounds to me like Biron starts for NYR. Lundqvist says he feels better (flu) but it doesn't sound like he's game ready.

Unfortunately, in today's NHL, hitting often implies hurting. It sucks, but it happens a lot. I love Crosby as a player and he's matured a lot since his diving days.

Probably a minimum of three 5 hole goals coming and that's being generous.

It's not Biron hate. It's called Henrik is our ****ing King. These are the ducking Penguins who are on a crazy roll and are getting Crosby back, not the Hurricanes or Maple Leafs. Hank needs to play this game.

Normally Im not a fan of completely embarrassing another team by a margin wider then 4 goals however... If we could utterly humiliate this pens team on Kidneys return night, it would be the most satisfying win all year.

Biron

Damn

surprised to see everyone so down on Marty. He could be a start in a lot of places and he's lined up against plenty of stars this year. Yeah Crosby's great but its his first game back and Bylsma has said he's limiting him to 15 minutes.

What catastrophe are people expecting to ensue?

In Marty we Trust...

This has all the components of a 5-4 victory. Pure scoring game.

No Lundqvist, Callahan or Del Zotto? Yikes.

Could be ugly.

This game has serious potential for two things to happen. 1 Be a high scoring game. 2. Get out of hand very quickly. Any one want to take bets on the number of BS calls against the Rangers for any one who goes within half a rink of Sidney Crosby?

Facing the most talented team in the league without Hank, MDZ, Cally and Sauer. Not good at all.
