Miller, Army, Corvo, Belanger, Cowan, adios guys, it's been real!
Same here. Maybe I keep Belanger considering he's a RFA and not a UFA. Bye bye to the others.

The answer is: Waiting for the call from Tim Leiweke, thanking him for 8+ great years as a General Manager, but finding out that his services are no longer required and that _______________ will be taking his place, and installing a new coaching team in Los Angeles.

None of that would happen until after the season.

Remember, this team is trying to make the playoffs. Overhauling the front office in the middle of the season, including bringing in an entirely new coaching staff with a whole new system to learn cannot be done overnight. The distraction would not be condusive with the Kings' current goals.

If anyone is getting fired it's happening after the season.

Plus, the Olympic trade freeze is in less than 6 hours.

Coaches can be fired during the break, right? I thought the freeze involved only the player roster, not the coaching staff.

They probably could, but one week (players not going to the Olympics will get a week off) isn't long enough to learn an entire new system.

I don't think "professional" hockey players would have a problem adjusting to a new system in a week. You have to consider that these guys have not played Murray's system their entire lives. I am sure these guys have had a myriad of coaches in their careers who have practiced countless different systems. I would think that most of these guys could adjust in 3 or 4 days. Because it took Joe Thornton 2+ weeks to adjust to the Sharks system.....right?
