Hope tank wins, also hope Ashton lights it up against his former team.

Listening to Aulie talk about the positive attitude from the coach and the leadership from the stars on the team was pretty sad.

When he was saying the stars are the hardest workers on the team and are working every day to get better I couldn't help but think of Kessel. and when he was talking about the leadership in the room to help keep the team focused and calm I couldn't help but think of PHanuef.

its not really a fair comparison. in my most unbiased opinion tampa has a lot of exceptional veterans in that locker room to guide the young guys. they also have yzerman who is one of the classiest hockey guys of my generation. i think having players like vinny and st louis went a long way for stamkos. he is undeniably an excellent player with an amazing drive and motivation for the game but having guys who have been there before really make a difference. tampa also has other vets like roloson who while not playing well has game experience. leafs got nothing.

i cant help but think if the leafs had any of sundin, roberts, gilmour, joseph, etc, etc it would go a long way on the atmosphere in the change room and on the ice. im sure if kadri, colborne, frattin, schenn, gardiner, ashton, etc, etc had any of these guys to calm them down before the games and talk to about on and off ice issues they would all be the better for it.

our veterans are basically connolly, lombardi, armstrong, komisarek, and liles. with the exception of liles im not sure any of them should be on our team and im not sure if they can offer any sort of tangible leadership services to help guide the young ones.

i agree with what your saying. it is depressing that when we look to our stars for leadership and inspiration they consistently fall flat.

i think in the off season burke needs to make a point of trying to get a few legitimate veteran leaders in the room. id start with a veteran goalie who can slow the game down and instill confidence in from the net and a forward like morrow whose best playing days might be behind him but his voice will stilll carry weight behind closed doors.

Can't wait to see the Leafs get lit up tonight. Hopefully their offence continues to be fairly non-exestent.

It would be fantastic to see Stamkos score a hat-trick tonight. I really hope that happens.

With Carolina, NYI, and Montreal all now tied and one point behind Toronto, the race for the Eastern Conference basement is heating up!

Hopefully the Leafs can win that race!

Since it's unlikely that they can fail for Nail, they might as well suck for Galchenyuk.

Let the tanking.. err, losing, continue!!

Tampa wins 5-3.

Stamkos with first two goals, Ashton replies with a natural hat-trick and then Aulie, loyalist to Toronto, follows it up with a hat-trick of his own.

Vince "The Prince" Lecavalier has played well against the Leafs in games past, so this may bode well for the Leafs to get a decent draft pick out of this season.

Is Reimer actually starting tonight? I didn't think Gus was bad at all I don't see why he wouldn't start or is it all just speculation right now

Aren't tickets like 40 bucks? Might as well go. Barely worth selling.
