And can we get all of that broken down by results after 60 minutes, which is closer to how things are played in the playoffs also? I mean if that isn't asking too much...

I think you're going this way so forgive me if not.

I agree that the whole thing is futile cause apples/apples aren't there for Warden's BB vs Dale comparison.

But one can easily look at BB's 7-4 and know that most of the good is with Green... and one can look at the 4-4-0 Dale w/ 19 and know all of that is without Green...

So in all likelihood both coaches are .500 with Nick and without Green...

or one could just keep digging.

My point wasn't the team was good with Bruce. My point was they're terrible against competition since Dale took over w/ or w/o 19.

Not to look past other games but I'm so looking forward to Detroit as some sort of measuring stick for this team.

On another note I wish Hunter would remove Carlson from the PK. LOL

All that matters is where we are trending now and there are positive signs.

The team has been VERY resiliant over the last few weeks.

Take a look at last night...2 horrible bounces have us down 2-0 (how many fluky goals have been scored on us this year??) .....the refs really trying to give the game to the Isles by handing them PPs and looking away when they break sticks and give us 0 PPs...down by 3 with a bit over 20 mins left in the game...then we goto a shootout and actually win one of those.

If we beat Winnipeg then I will predict we sweep those back to backs against Chicago and Detroit.

We've seen it before..when this team starts gaining confidence they are very difficult to slow down.

I dont know if Detroit game can be taken as such. Isn't it 2nd game of back to backs for us, plus wings missing a bunch of players (Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Bert, Ericsson, Eves, Kindle), not that we are not missing our cognitive pieces... i guess all i'm trying to say is: i wont be putting too much stock into that game... With MG back from suspension we should win that game, imo.

Agreed. After the WPG game on Friday, if the Caps can get 2-3 points out of the next three games, I would consider that a success. Then they return home on the second of a back-to-back against the 'Peg again (Philly on Thursday).

If the Caps can get half of the road points left (7), and win 3 of their 5 left at home (6 points), they'll be extremely difficult to catch. That puts them at 91 points, and let's assume 39 ROWs.

Buffalo could not catch the Caps in the ROW tie breaker, so they'd need 18 points out of their remaining 12 games to pass the Caps. The worst they could do is 7-0-4.

Winnipeg would need 20 points out of their last 13 games. The worst they could do is 9-1-2. The ROW tiebreaker doesn't really factor in, because in this scenario, if they gained that advantage (12 more ROWs), they'd be well clear of the Caps anyway.

Tampa would need 21 points out of their last 13 games, or 20 points and 10 ROWs. 10-3-0 is the worst they could do (though 9-1-3 also works).

4-4 isn't terrible, btw. It's equivalent to a very close playoff series.

I was more just joking that him breaking things up Boudreau and Hunter with and without Backstrom was a decent amount of work and now you are asking him to go back and do it again with and without Green on top of that.

I'm not taking issue with the premise of coaching without Backstrom and/or Green isn't more difficult than coaching with them.

I think Matthieu Perreault and Matt Moulson should dress up like each other for Halloween next year.
