I'm gonna give Schenn until trade day 2013 to see if he can improve or not. This season wasn't so good. If Schenn still sucks by January 2012 try to move him. The problem with Schenn is he is slow. He needs to work on his speed, but other than that he is fine.

There's too much leadership ... everyone leading in their own direction.

Schenn will just have to wait his turn.

Phaneuf has failed at it.
Komisarek gets the next opportunity.

Vaive and Ludzik on collapse, and Phaneuf.

ULF I was being sarcastic. I still remember those guys saying Schenn should be Captain after his rookie year.

basically saying that that the change could be the best thing for him.

also Kyper refers to Nazem Kadri as "Kazem Nadri". hahaha. maybe he secretly posts on hfboards.

very interesting observations/points on the leafs. a comparison to the Ballard era Leafs, Kadri, Schenn, and Burke.

did anyone listen to this today?

do you agree? is burke even allowed to make that move (trade schenn)? who would we get for him? could we move up in the draft in a schenn swap?

check it out.
yay rebuild the rebuild!

extremely unrealistic value for schenn by some people on here. at most (and extremely unlikely), he's worth a late first rounder (for a team desperate for a d-man). more than likely, a 2nd is the most he'll fetch.

schenn just isn't really valuable to any other team right now. he's looked inconsistent and slow all season. his value is probably the lowest its ever been, and his only redeeming quality at the moment is his age. would be dumb to trade him, especially since the entire team has been awful. i'd wait another year, see what this team can do with a new coach.

IF the Leafs move him, it should be in a hockey transaction where the other team feels he has untapped potential not realized by Toronto's poor coaching, where Toronto gets back something of real value. Like a Kassian for Hodgson, or a higher profile Ashton for Aulie. If Carlyle irons out his flaws, keep him as a building block.

i will give schenn 1 more chance. if he can't figure it out under a new coach then it is conclusive: dud. he is not an 18 year old rookie anymore. he has to show that he belongs in the league and worth his contract.

Schenn ++++ for 1st
Every team in the basement right now probably hopes for that to happen, it won't.

Phaneuf sucks all the time, gas him, keep Schenn.

he just shutdown the league's hottest goalscorer last night. i understand he makes mistakes, but he never gets credit for what he does.

I've said it before. Schenn is progressing really nicely and looks good under Carlyle. Don't trade him.

Trade Phaneuf before Schenn.

Wendel Clark hinted at it.

But Burke said he wouldn't trade Schenn (well he didn't offer Schenn).
The man picks his words carefully but he is full of it at times.
