Don't read too much into it, obviously.
Wohhhhh wait! What about that scout that said Montreal wasn't going to draft Grigorenko! Wtf is going on here!?!?
Can anyone tell me what scouts don't like about his game? If he's playing anything like he did for Russia at the Juniors, I must've missed something. His production was good and he was responsible in his own end. Thanks for any info guys.

Biggest knock against him continues to be a consistent work ethic. Many people on this board who watch him closely though say it's not a problem at all.
He is just more of a cerebral player than an in your face player, so maybe that's why that concern has been raised somewhat.

In fairness, he didn't say that they wouldn't scout or talk to him. He said he thought that they would have at least five forwards ahead of him come draft day...
for people who watch him closely...does he rack up a lot of points against good teams/in close games?
or a disproportionate amount versus bad teams?
I didn't do a complete analysis, but the clear top 3 in the league is Saint John, Shawinigan and Victoriaville and the clear bottom 3 is Rouyn-Noranda, Cape Breton and PEI.
Grigorenko has
10 goals and 8 assists in 13 games against the top 3 (Involved in 40% of the offense)
4 goals and 7 assists in 8 games against the bottom 3 (Involved in 24,3% of the offense)
So google translate sucks and I couldnt make it through the first paragraph the english was so broken. What did the article say?
You mean the one I posted?
It talks about Grigorenko's adaptation to tight checking playoff hockey and the trench wars. Roy explains that Grigorenko has had some problems with it in the last part of the season and he's still learning how to play that style right now.
Roy adds that Couturier can play in the league right after being drafted because of his ability to win 1 on 1 battles and his defensive play. 2 aspects of his game that Grigorenko has to improve on if he wants to play in the NHL as soon as next year.
Then it talks about Grigorenko being checked out by Howson and other teams. Grigorenko says he was disappointed after 2 recent games because he did not play well and he knew scouts were there to see him play.
He actually reminds me a lot of RNH. I personally think Grigo will be better than Seguin and Couturier. RNH I'm not too sure about.
I don't really agree with the RNH comparison. But then again I wouldn't know who to compare him to. I've been changing my comparisons all year, from Malkin, to Lecavalier or Thornton.
