According to eliteprospects Porseland played for Rögle in Elitserien (didn't know they played there) before leaving for finland. He's been one of the few bright spots on a weak HPK team. Probably their best Dman this year.
stupid me, he left when they got demoted. Alright thanks for info.
What? This guy had 30 points in Södertälje, 62(!) points in SM-Liiga.
He said the SM-Liiga's playstyle suits him way much better (more NA style)... he couldn't use his tools as effective in Sweden as in Finland...speed for example.
Lasch got into the SM-Liiga style immeadiately and for example other Pelicans starplayer Justin Hodgman the adjusting period was way much longer. Though in Lasch's case he had already experience of europe.
HIFK-Jokerit quartefinal tickets to all 4 games has sold out now. Luckily I get my tickets for saturdays game at Hartwall Arena. ITäs coming very very excitincg serie again like last year.

7 game series is close.
SM-Liiga and Mestis still not working together... The karsinnat-games should be in tv somehow.

This. If SM-liiga had a brain they would be paying a tv-station to broadcast it... It's ridiculous, one of the most interesting events in finnish hockey, and not shown on tv. Also for Mestis this would be a GREAT opportunity to get some coverage.
Great news everyone! After no one was willing to pick up the tv-rights for free, Vaasan Sport Mediateam together with Anvia and Siltaloppi Productions will be streaming ALL of the games through the MestisTV! http://sport.mestistv.fi/vaasan-sport
Games played at Vaasa Arena will be available in HD, possibly Tampere too but not confirmed.

Prices have been just added to the site and it seems that the stream is going to cost 11 euros. Im little bit suprised myself because it's actually cheaper than in the Mestis finals. Not bad price for a 4-5 camera production with HD quality and professional commentary. Games from Hakametsä will be producted by different mediateam so I'm not sure what kind of equipment they are going to use, but from what I've heard it's atleast going to be available in HD.

Excellent news. Should be a spectacle, especially if Sport manage to steal the first game it's going to be sick.
Why, oh why did Zaborsky have to get injured? A top line combining for a whopping 0 points so far in the series...this sucks! I'm hoping and praying it doesn't end up like last year. What's going wrong with them? Looks like they slipped a bit at the end of the year, but it was a pretty tight race in the top 5.

Looked good right at the end of the regular season.
JYP one Vatanen better than Ässät so far. Not going to be even that pissed even when/if JYP goes thru... they are just a damn good team.
