Like the list personally. D'Amigo a bit low for me personally. But either way, good job J-E!
Kenny Ryan didn't make the list eh? Interesting. Despite playing in the ECHL I would put him ahead of Mikus/Rynnas. He's more of a project 3rd line winger with Matt Cooke-lite upside.

Brad Ross is going to be loved by the fans....he will move up this list.

stupendous waste of a 2nd rounder that was, oh wait he's american, all is forgiven.
From the above comments it's refreshing to hear the number of positive comments, in particular about our top 10.
I hope this is not all a completely biased point-of-view & that we legitimately have a top 10 that whilst may not be the envy of the league would certainly be on par with the top third of the league.
There are some intriguing prospects on the list as a whole, Brad Ross after a great offensive season w/out the likes of Johansen & Niedereiter on his wings really seems to have done what the organisation had asked from him & proven some nay-sayers wrong. Can't wait to see what he can bring to the team, it sounds like it may be something special but we'll just have to see.
Interesting that 2 prospects such as Ryan & Olden don't even make the top 20 here, so hopefully they come back on the map at some point. Ryan seems to have been overrated at this point to have been picked in the 2nd round, but we were always told that Olden was a project pick by Dave Morrison & therefore, plenty seasoning required 7 some hours in the weight room before he see the likes of him if ever.
I've heard great things about Tom Nilsson, his training camp was remarkable & there's every chance he will slowly climb the list. Also David Broll, having some bad luck this year I gather in front of the goal, but it's strange that the Leafs had already signed him after the draft to a 3 yr contract. I remember Dudley commenting on him training camp that he looked ready from a physical standpoint.
Good to know that these guys are on their way, albeit with different timescales.
We have to hope that Dallas Eakins will be around to develop this group for another season. Got to think that he might be just the kind of guy to indoctrinate the likes of Greg McKegg, Brad Ross & Sondre Olden to their first taste of pro hockey at the AHL level.
A playoff run by the MArlies would of course be tremendous again for the group & the organisation as a whole!
2013/2014 is when we'll really see the fruits of Burke's drafting begin to show but at least good to know the cupboard isn't bare!
I recall a time when the list would have been more like one of the top 3 guys and then 11-20 would be 2 throu 10.
What I mean is that the top ten list is deep and diverse for the first time in memory...
It still lacks some superstar power, but with any luck, another blue chip (top 75 prospect) will be added at the draft. Even if they don't get a top 4 pick, imagine that list with Dumba, Murray, or Reinhart at the top.
At that point, this will definitely be the best the system has been in decades.
Mikus and Rynnas shouldnt be on the list, the rest of the list is good. they are both older and their ceilings more apparent. The posters have brought out some good names...Ryan is an elite skater, bottom 6 guy with incredible stamina. Devane can be a Bob Gainey checker with great size, fantastic skating and toughness who can plan. Olden still has a high ceiling but is very raw. Creszcenci and Carrick look like they can be bottom six grinders who play it tough and are point per game guys in the O, but bottom six physical guys. Nilsson has some decent potential to be a physicall guy on D
All that said, there are probably 25 guys who have a shot to play some NHL games if they continue to develop properly. Dont think the Leafs will be able to develop all of them so guys like Carrick may not get a contract or could find themselves in Reading. We probably need to go to some independants like Chicago and try to secure 3-4 spots on the team given the number of grads from junior this year plus the current Marlies roster turnover anticipated to be quite low into next year. What I cant figure out is why would they give roster spots to guys like Will Acton who isnt even a prospect over a Kenny Ryan when they play a very similar game other than Acton being 24 and Ryan only 20
EDIT - What kind of potential do people see in him? I see him playing in a 3rd/4th line role. Good agitator, capable offensively and defensively. Maybe he could pot 10-15 goals and 15-20 assists for something like 30-35ish points a season.

He's better then that offensively, IMO. He could definitely hit 20 goals. Think more of a Cal Clutterbuck, and way more capable of playing with good players.
And as a fan, how do you know those scouts are not fans of his?
Surely you must realize the irony in what you saying, right?
there's no irony. there's no actual measure either. only time will tell. is Kadri an inspired/physically ready NHLer after three years from being drafted? i'm going to say no at this point. i hope for his sake and the team's sake he will be some day soon.
