So, is it better to play with all leagues "enhanced" my last game I didn't do that and it sucked not knowing more details of other leagues. If I do all leagues, how long does day to day simming take?
You don't need them all enhanced, just standard but have them selected. I made the mistake of only selecting NHL, AHL, CHL and UHL on my current laptop file. I wish I could go back and enable all. My file runs perfectly fine for speed because I have the detail level on none to all except international and NHL.

Take control of the team that drafts him and make them send him down.
Nah wouldn't feel "real" then.
Only thing I use this (taking control of NHL teams) for is to ensure teams playing at the Memorial Cup have their best players available, since NHL teams have to sign their prospects just prior to the start of the tourney.

I do this from time to time I did it when the Caps drafted Lars Eller. He was good enough to make them let Backstrom go, Eller is their #1 C now. Thanks to me.
Boileau is draft eligible and has been ranked #1 all season.
Allaire was a first round pick (8th overall) last year by the Preds.
Paquette is an overager and was a 2nd round pick by Detroit 2 years ago (late birthday)

Don't know how you draw that line but whatever. Besides is almost every team trying to bring up their 1st round picks at 18 very "real" I don't think it is and even in game I usually send my best prospects back for 2 years but the cpu's are just dumb.

I try limit how often I do this. I do it for ones that I have rights for if they're clearly not NHL ready.
Myself in game is having the best statistical season I've ever managed. If all goes well in the last game of the year he will finish with 164 points a 2.0ppg pace this year. Pretty crazy. 100+ assists too. Svatos already has over 70 goals this year and is on his way to his 4th Rocket Richard. I will probably win the Art Ross for the 3rd time.
My goalies attributes are both amazing but still don't have great stats. I guess my D after the first line is kind of suspect so maybe in a few years it will be great.
Yakupov in his first season with 100+ points on the 2nd line too. My 3rd line LW has 30 goals and 50+ points

I usually always structure my D with 2 stars and the rest of them are usually at least good defensively but usually never near the quality of my top 2 and I usually have the best defense in the league, but a goalie and 2-way forwards help with that.
I just recently had to restart my Vancouver file because I didn't select enough leagues and it was starting to really bug me so instead of the Canucks I started with the Giants, see if I can't work my way there.
My #1 for many years, but he's always been getting damn tired (down to 60% all the time) in the role. This season I'm gonna play him in 2nd pairing / 1st PP / no PK role and see if that helps that bloody problem. Even with the tiring, great player and results.
60th:
Had to hide him in minors as I was stacked on defense for a long time (and still am - much easier to draft solid D-men than forwards, especially LWs, it seems), and he had red endurance. Once called up he performed excellently as #3, and I'm gonna try him on top pairing this season.
90th:
Bust who never developed. Drafted in attempt to fill the constant gaping hole on the LW (for many years, I had maybe 1-2 natural LWs on my team. I have one now, Ladd-slug who's pushing 40).
120th:
Decent 3rd/4th line LW. His versatility allowed me to move him around when injuries struck. Lost to waivers last season when I needed to get under cap and his 700k seemed too much for the role.
150th:
Not only is he clear bust, he also lists me as his disliked staff! The reason? He was loaned, and the club he was loaned to put him on the market and set his status to not needed. And he hates *me* for it?! I let the ungrateful ******* go for that. And yeah, I actually kinda RP and am likely to keep around guys who list me as favorite staff, or Canes as favorite team - though not to the point of keeping useless guys around forever, as you'll see later on.
180th:
Solid 7th D-man, who played a season as #6 as well. Too bad for him I am stacked on D, or he'd be a regular.
210th:
Surprising guy. He doesn't seem like much, he's even fickle, yet he absolutely thrives as 13th forward and gets great ratings for 4th line role when filling in. So I keep him around.

Ahh okay. See and my defense is on par with that. Pitkanen and Erik Johnson on the first pair is great, Grossmann and Doughty on the second pair (both pretty decent) and now Nick Petrecki and Kubina on the third pair who are both putting above 7.00 rating. My goalie, Bernier by all accounts should be putting up solid numbers. I think it's because I do a very offense-oriented system that Bernier will never have the greatest numbers he could. I have great 2-way guys in my line-up but I only ice 3 lines and it's all offense.
It's probably my system actually. Oh well, we're still boss and he comes up big when it counts.
Also, from your roster screen, go to Transactions on the left, then use the View dropdown on the upper right and go to NHL Entry Draft. It will list your picks, where you picked them and where they're playing now. You can then use the buttons next to the View dropdown to go from year to year.

Looks like he has almost the same technical skills as Nick Grossmann for me. Like almost identical on the right column. I just remember all he had was yellows at around 26/27 when I acquired him and now he's got stats like that at 30. Pretty crazy.
I really wish Mac would drop the proprietary silliness that keeps companies from programming their products for Mac.
Hate to be an a-hole, but it's what you deserve for buying a Mac. Everyone knows that lots of crap isn't compatible with Mac, yet every day people decide to dish out an extra 40% to get the Mac label on their laptop.

A version of this game was made for Macs. The problem is that you can't purchase it anymore because the license handler dropped support for it. You can get off your high horse now.
