My point was that once the 22 man roster is submitted, you are stuck with that.
So, if Wudrick is in for Nesbitt and you want Nesbitt in game two then both have to be on the list. If Wright is not totally healthy do you risk putting him on the list?
Of course, if you only have 20 healthy skaters and 2 goalies, then there is no problem.
Oh yeah definitely...could be some tough choices to be made, especially in the case of guys who are banged up.
I think you have to pick Corcoran over Lee/Shutron/Salituro because he can play forward or D and he's healthy. Wudrick is the next health body whose played some games, more than Lee & Salituro. Corcoran is the real 'ace up our sleeve' because he can come in and play a tough physical game in forward or a strong game at D - his versatility is amazing, now in his 3rd year.
For Game 1, move Fillier onto line 2 and have them be the 'shutdown line' with excellent counter attack. Put Wudrick, or Corcoran, on the 4th line.
For Game 2, return to the regular lines. Also, hopefully game two is Sat. afternoon which gives the guys TV timeouts so you can run with Line 1-2 after each break.
I haven't looked at the other rosters - I wonder how many have 5 rookies in the starting line-up?
That's how I see it as well..I would think Corcoran will definitely be on the roster just for his versatility in case injuries strike.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Wright though. Do they risk using a spot on him if he is banged up? If not I figure Shutron will replace him as it sounds like he should be ready to go.
Are all practice times at the AUC? Anyone know who and when practices start. I would guess Tuesday? Saskatchewan according to Adolph will fly in on Monday, to Moncton or Freddy?
I checked the CIS site and it appears Saskatchewan was announced as the host in July 2010...so I am assuming we can expect something sometime during the summer.

Every team gets a practice time Wednesday at the AUC. Not sure the schedule. Practices are closed to the public (and other coaches!) if I remember correctly. Sask would have to fly into Moncton, as the small planes Air Canada now uses in and out of Fredericton aren't big enough for hockey gear. UNB had to use Moncton when they flew out west last year for those Calgary and Edmonton last year. Since Sask is flying in Moncton, I imagine they'll arrange for a practice time Tuesday.
Calling for 19, 20, 22 degrees on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, combine that with over 3,000 people for Thursday's games is a recipe for disaster with the already not so great ice conditions at the AUC. Will be interesting to see how it holds up.
AUC had a make over with a new floor and coolant pipes installed, hopefully it will hold up and there will be closer to 4,000 in attendance for the evening game. That's a lot of heat.
Nesbitt is suspended, as is Guayaquil from U de M. Anther top 6 forward most likely done and we haven't even mentioned defense.
Shutron has been practicing, Wright is still a mystery. UNB is not as healthy as many think.

Top 6 forward....Bailey, Culligan, MacNeil, Carroll, Nesbitt or Wiebe?
Since Nesbitt is already out, that leaves one of the remaining 5. If it's not Bailey or Culligan - I don't think UNB's chances are hurt that much - I know MacNeil, Carroll and Weibe bring a lot to the team - but the top 2 scorers in the playoffs and one who is the top Face-off center - either would be a blow. MacNeil would be the 3rd biggest lost - with 7pts on 18 shots, 5 for goals (.278 - best on the team). The biggest issue is the impact to Chemistry, but these guys have been moving around all year.

My correction on the Moncton player, as it is Guay.
Nesbitt is suspended, but we still haven't heard anything about Guay being suspended, so I doubt he is.
Rules don't state anything about a 5-minute major for slashing giving a suspension, only mentions for checking from behind, checking to the head and attempt to injure.
You'd think if he was suspended we'd have heard from John Ryan by now.
