Denver's starting to show interest in some other guys
- Jameel McLain to play MLB
- John Abraham (I'd rather have Abraham at a decent price than what Mario signed for!)
Sounds like they're not bringing back Joe Mays...too bad I actually kinda liked Mays as a player.

I did too. That's too bad. I'd rather have Mays than DJ Williams. But I guess DJ's kind of a moot point until he clears up this whole mess of his.

Joe Mays is pretty average. I don't get the love.

Seemed to me he was in on a lot of big plays this year. Just my observation from watching the Broncos play.

Mays is a tough, physical tackler, but he's useless in coverage. Any time he has to play in space, he's completely lost.

Good game by CU, Chace Stanback has stunk the past 2 months and it cost the Rebels.

If CU could figure out how not to go on 7 minute plus streaks where they don't score, they be pretty damn good, because they already play awesome defense.
Its cool to see them win, but my guess is it will be short lived. Baylor is pretty tough, and has lots of talent. Hopefully they can keep it close, then you never know.

Yea that was posted second after my post. Worst case scenario the Broncos have to be a finalist as I doubt he would want to waste their time.

I'm not much of an NFL fan just to tell you.
How much would Manning ask for and how much room do the Broncos have in their salary? Also I thought that they were going to have Tebow be the starting QB?

Eddie Royal to the San Diego Chargers.
Quote:
The Chargers continued to give quarterback Philip Rivers more weapons by signing Denver free agent Eddie Royal. He will likely be the No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in San Diego, depending on the development of second-year receiver Vincent Brown. He was not in the Broncos’ plans. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that it is a three-year deal worth $13.5 million with $6 million in guaranteed money.

Well with Peyton Manning working out for the Broncos today is it pretty safe to say we'll see him in blue and orange next season?

It's sounding like he will also be throwing for the Titans as well.
I want this Manning drama to end already.

The Broncos have a lot of salary room. I've read $44.7 million under the cap which includes a $27 million rollover from 2011. They were under the cap in 2011 and are able to declare whether they will roll that over to this year and have chosen to do so. This is the money available to sign free agents, both theirs and on the market, and draftees.

ESPN is now reporting that Manning worked out with the 49ers on Tuesday.
Quote:
Even before he worked out for the Denver Broncos on Friday, Peyton Manning threw passes for the San Francisco 49ers and underwent a physical exam earlier this week, according to league sources.
Now it's believed that Denver, Tennesse, and San Francisco are the finalist.
If San Francisco is in on Manning it could really hurt Denver's chances...

And apparently the Broncos have offered an identical contract.

Typical 3-3. Beau Bennett is out though.
