So I'm listening to the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack on youtube and on one of the videos there's people arguing about whether the Empire from Star Wars or the Reapers would win in a fight.
Anyone know how to get to the search page on hockey-reference.com? The one where you can specify a range of seasons, and a bunch of other options to get a sortable list of players with detailed stats. I'm pretty sure it was that site but I can't seem to find it.
I just finished Mass Effect 3. I don't know if I should be pissed off, or continue to let the game run, hoping there's more post credit scenes that don't leave me with a thousand different questions.

The endings just don't seem very true to the franchise as a whole. I looked up some of the other endings on youtube, and it seems no matter which you choose, they all end up with
Spoil:
the reapers being defeated, mass relays being destroyed and joker and the crew stranded on random planet
with no closure or anything. You don't really get a choice in the end.
I thought that Casey Hudson dude said they'd be no A, B or C endings. Meh, I was loving the game too up until the last 20 minutes. Maybe I need to sleep on it.
Spoil:
Plus, what the hell was Liara doing on that planet with Joker haha. She was just on the ground fighting Harbinger with me.

Yeah. I didn't really like the ending. But, I didn't think it was as bad as the majority of people are saying.
I kind of like speculating and filling in some of the blanks. Although, I'm hoping they release a free DLC that gives some closure.
Spoil:
I've been thinking for the last part, that maybe more time has elapsed then we think. You know how you kind of "wake up" when they call you and say something needs to be done on your end. Maybe they thought they failed, so they were fleeing Earth? I don't know.
Have you read any of the indoctrination theories yet?

Basically the gist of it is...when you wake up from getting hit by Harbinger's laser, you're actually indoctrinated.
People are pointing to stuff like your different cloths, the unlimited ammo pistol, Anderson getting there first, breathing on the outside of the Citadel, the way Shepherd isn't questioning anything the catalyst says, the catalyst in the child's form, etc.
They say that the choice at the end is your "test" in the indoctrination. Your main goal was to destroy the Reapers and the catalyst is the indoctrination trying to convince you to let them live by choosing the control option.
Seems kind of silly to me, but some of the points make sense.

Eh, I guess some of that makes sense but I like this ending I just read about online better-
Spoil:
"Drew Karpyshyyn's original draft for ME3's ending which explained the motivations behind the Reapers. They were supposed to be a union of countless alien races with the first-generation Reapers having discovered in the distant past that Dark Energy (which was alluded to in ME2 during Tali's recruitment mission) was threatening the entire galaxy/universe, and so they preserved themselves in Reaper shells and tried to do the same to 'save' other sufficiently advanced races, while attempting to figure out a permanent solution for untold millions of years, although they were unable to find one up to the present.
When this original script got leaked, fan backlash was apparently so bad that they had to rewrite ME3's ending and so we ended up with this instead, and you know the rest."
the dark energy plot was that using Eezo and mass effect fields had some long term detrimental effects (as seen in Haestrom) that would eventually destroy the galaxy/universe. So the reapers purpose was to slow down the rate at which the civilizations of the galaxy used Eezo, hoping they could develop some alternative solution in the meantime that would allow them to stop the cycle. however, as seen at haestrom in ME2, the dark energy BAD THINGS were already starting to happen, ie the cycle has basically run its course and could no longer prevent the end of the galaxy/universe. Because 'humans are special' (tm) the Reapers had decided that their best chance at saving everything was to create a human reaper now and use humanity's specialness (no idea what that might be) in a last ditch effort.
Not perfect, but I think that ending is a lot better than the one we got. Pulling out a star/god-kid in the last 5 minutes just felt like a massive cop-out.
