A little delay to the the start of the game last night becasue of this. Happened right in front of me. Dang near spilled my beer. Oh and it was a nice Siouxweep!!!!!!
Should be a good series. If UND can continue their strong play, I think they can sweep BSU. But I don't think they'll be a pushover. The guy that the Sioux have to keep a close eye on is Jordan George. He can do some damage if they give him the room.

I think UND will win this series, it will not be easy. I also think you will see a tight checking affair.

In two or three?
BTW, I agree with you on it being a tight checking affair.
Also, gotta give a big congrats to Danny "where did Jim come from?" Senkbeil on notching his first career collegiate point last weekend versus Mankato.
I had the pleasure of watching Danny several years ago when he played for the SJ Junior Sharks. Way to go, Danny!!!

The kid has come a long ways since October when I watched him in the exibition game. I kept a close eye on him saturday at the Ralph and he has a lot more confidence in what he is doing. All this ice time can only do him wonders and the rest of the freshies who have seen more ice than they thought they would of because of injuries and defections.
UND sweeps Bemidji with a 4-3 win last night. They will play Thursday at the X either in the afternoon against Wisconsin or at night against St. Cloud State. It should be a fun time, best time of the year!

Actually that's partly incorrect because you forgot about Michigan Tech sweeping CC last night.
Depending on who wins later tonight between Wisconsin and Denver, Michigan Tech will face either Wisconsin or St. Cloud State in Thursday's (early?) game.
Ever since Hakstol had a monday morning bag skate after their sunday 1-0 loss to Bemidji back in November which put them at 4-7-1 the Sioux have gone 18-5-2. This is by far Halstols best coaching since he took over 8 years ago. To be where they are at now with all the injuries and only dressing 17 players for 9 games now is unbelievable.

Actually its right.
If Denver prevails on Sunday evening - the seeds for the Final Five will be: No. 1 Minnesota, No. 2 Minnesota Duluth, No. 3 Denver, No. 4 North Dakota, No. 5 St. Cloud State and No. 6 Michigan Tech. The matchups in Saint Paul would be as follows - Thursday, March 15 - No. 6 Michigan Tech vs No. 3 Denver at 2:07 pm CT and No. 5 St. Cloud State vs No. 4 North Dakota at 7:07 pm CT - Friday, March 16 - No. 6/No. 3 vs No. 2 Minnesota Duluth, 2:07 pm CT and No. 5/No. 4 vs No. 1 Minnesota, 7:07 pm CT.

I said we either play Wisconsin in the afternoon or SCSU in evening. I just didn't mention Michigan Tech because honestly I am just talking about UND.
Bring on the Huskies. I really think this one will be a classic just because these 2 teams have gone through similar seasons with all the injuries both squads have had. Sioux previal 4-3 in ot.
Wasn't pretty but a win is a win. How the hell the linesman missed that offsides on the Husky goal is beyond me especially when he was looking at from 10 feet away. Luckily is didn't cost the Sioux although it did cost Dell a shutout. The first period ws one of the sloppiest periods I have seen the sioux play in awhile and to come out of the first period tied at 1 was encouraging because that just wasn't Sioux hockey. I mean they couldn't complete 5 foot pass to save their butt. They do that tonight and it will be over quick but I have a good feeling that won't happen. Sioux 3 Goofs 2.

The refereeing all around was bad in the game. There were a number of penalties that could've been called on both sides that weren't.
Still it was a good win for UND, but you're right Dakota, they HAVE to better against the Gophers tonight. I think they will. If, for no other reason, because the Gophers seem to bring out the best (and nastiest) out of UND. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but should be a good ol' fashioned grudge match that will be fun to watch. Would the UND and Minnesota fans expect anything less?

Thee best rivalry in all of college hockey. Yeah I'm a little biased.
Goyt some buddies that are at the tourney and they said there were a number of fights in the stands and outside last night. With temps around 80 there today the booze will be flowing and fans will be as stupid as ever tonight. Sad but true.
