nashville is a really good team. i watch a lot of their games. they are just really, really efficient. part of it is getting the bounces but they are just super solid from the net up.
we pretty much made them non-existant, they had one really good chance after their goal and the rest we cleaned up on i think. what were the scoring chances for that game?
rinne just swallowed everything, i was surprised he gave up the rebound on the boyle shot, in the previous period he generated nothing on a double tip. so hes a pretty outstanding goalie.
Just wanted to share my view from the game tonight, with a great shot of the guy in front of me with a huge head
He was actually just really drunk and leaning forward, a lot of our group was drunk including one guy who fell down the stairs in the upper deck He's alright, but he tumbled down from row 15 down to about row 3
Dude how come you didn't say Captain Picard was at the game?
So, on a positive note, was thinking about a few things:
- Joe Thornton looks absolutely determined. He's really doing everything out there. Love it.
- Havlat looked great.
- Marleau is consistently skating hard and making smarter plays.
- Demers game is getting MUCH better, upto last years level.
- Boyle is getting old? You wouldn't know it by his play...
- Bruan is becoming a hell of a d-man very quickly.
- Niemi might be getting hot.
- Moore finally looked usefull
- Mitchell is possessed out there. He must really want a new contract!
Few negatives though:
- What the hell is wrong with Pavelski?
- Clowe still attempting stupid, stupid passes at the blue line
- Greiss looks depressed.
I know Pavs is a golden boy around here, but MAN has he been pretty bad offensively lately. Not Clowe-bad, but pretty damn bad. My (unlikely) personal theory is that he's withholding concussion symptoms from the trainers, but whatever it is, he flubbed a couple of good chances from Thornton the past couple of games.

And dude, Greiss just looks miserable. Poor guy.
Yah, he's just fanning spectacularly every one-timer chance he gets. Something has got to be wrong with him.
funnily enough i just read the nashville thread and they are convinced it was a trip.
the only legitimate call that couldve been made there was the initial hook that havlat gave him, or embellishment on rinne. there is a reason havlat went after him.
Rinne also made a similar play against us last time to get a goalie interference call.

For the first time in a long time he looked calm and confident and he was square to every shooter.
The
Yeh, that was 'finally' great to see and, so needed. First period, kinda looked like similar form of late but, second and third, finally looked like what we saw from him second half of last season. Going to need that almost every game onward now with all the big games coming up.
Vlasic - Boyle
Stuart - Burns
Braun - Murray
Demers
Dare to dream but that grouping would easily be considered top ten in the league
I would trade Murray at the draft or summer for as much as they could get, picks, prospects. then bring one of the baby sharks up as 6/7. Save some cash to spend elsewhere.
How come no one's discussing Rinne's fantastic dive? That alone was worth the $7.5mil they won't be able to spend on Suter.
The thread about it on the main boards was closed.

Gali had a good game. And I was really impressed by Winnik, personally. Demers is starting ti resemble the Demers of last season, which is an extremely good sign.
