Look at the time of my post and you should be able to figure out why his stats changed.

Another option is have Bishop as a backup next year get 20 games before the trade deadline and then trade him and bring up Lehner.

.
The group 6 free agent thing isn't clear, but he may be a RFA after next year.

1) He never became a group 6 FA.

2) He hasn't played 7 nhl seasons, or turned 27.

Thank you, I did not know that. That would certainly change this discussion.

Is there any way to find out what he will be at the end of next year?

Bishop's AHL numbers are way better, and Norfolk is the #1 team, Peoria has 73 points, compared to Norfolk's 89. Bishop's NHL numbers are also much better. I know you didn't say they have identical numbers, but your defense of his comment makes about as much sense as he did.

That was when he was still an AHL goalie with potential. He's become the starter in OTT and has shown he can play in the NHL.

I could see TB moving DET's 1se for him or an early 2nd.

Then I would hope we would be looking for a new GM the day after. And no, 4 games in Ottawa when the real starter is injured does not make him a true starting goaltender (yet?).

**Just a Rumor

http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/blog/ey...es-this-summer

What happens if the Sens have to trade one of Lehner and Bishop and they choose to keep Lehner.

What is the value of Ben Bishop today?

if you read the original article from Garrioch, you would have noticed that this isn't a rumor, it's speculation

Bump since I can't start a thread...

Would Tampa Bay explore moving Bishop this year? Or still wait a couple years? Obviously for the right price but with Vasilevskiy looking near ready and the goalie market not being strong they could probably cash in on him.

I'd do a trade that was Elliott+ for Bishop

That "+" would have to be the actual main reason for Tampa to move Bishop! Ellott is not the centre piece, he is a toss-in.

If anything, Edmonton should look into getting Bishop.

Yes that's what I would expect. A high pick and decent prospect as well.

You do realize Tampa lost for the exact same reason Blues do, couldn't score. We're still a first round exit with any goalie
