Milan Lucic - Terry O'Reilly - Cam Neely
Stan Jonathan - Shawn Thornton - Wayne Cashman
Lyndon Byers - Jay Miller - Colton Orr (yeah for the cup of coffee he had here)
Pj Stock - Chris Nilan - John Wensink
+ Kenny Baumgartner
Zdeno Chara - Marty McSorley
Eddie Shore - Brad Park
Brad McCrimmon - Brian Curran
Toughness, I think the Flyers and Bruins beat them, but skill wise, I don't think anybody. The Flyers send in Berube, Brown, and Brashear to crack a few skulls.
No fighter is invincible. But Berube was a middleweight size wise, and yet he was constantly beating some of the greatest enforcers of all time and he rarely lost.
i remember when gillies DESTROYED him in preseason.
I think that wings team can compete fight wise with anyone and it would be arguable who is tougher. Boston and Phillys teams would be the ones who it would be arguable with.
But for the balance of talent and toughness I dont think those teams are close really.
Gordie, Ted and Shanny are probably the best 3 skill wise any team has
Lindros says hello. As does Orr. Also, I feel like Shanny, Tocchet, and Neely all neutralize each other.
If Berube was The Chief then you forgot Paul Laus knocking him out cold
the ISLES and flyers had a LOT of line/bench clearing brawls back in the day.(70's-80's)Dave Brown???LOL PFFT!!! chicrun, berube,it seemed like every year the flyers brought up the next dave shultz .just to try and better the ISLES. funny thing is most couldnt beat Nystrom, and the few that did got pounded by Gillies.(who also "destroyed" shultz!)
only guy they had who was as good as Gillies, was Behn Wilson. HE is the toughest FLYER EVER IMHO!

Uhhh, actually Schultz beat Gillies once and Gillies beat Schultz once. Wilson beat Gillies pretty badly. Other than those two, the only Flyers Gillies fought were Dupont, Hospador, and Harvey Bennett. Gillies wasn't around to fight any of the Flyers late 80s tough guys like Berube and Brown who were much tougher than the aforementioned fighters. There's no doubt in my mind that both Berube and Brown could have beaten Gillies. And as for Nystrom, he hardly ever actually fought the true tough guys of the Flyers. When he did fight Cochrane however, he had his butt handed to him THREE TIMES. I'm not sure where you got your statistics from....You seem to believe that the Isles were constantly beating up on the Flyers, which is a joke.
Where is Orr in this? Cherry talks all the time about how tough he was when he did drop his gloves. 42 Career fights isn't too shabby for the best skilled player in the league either.
McSorley Scott
Kasparaitis Beukeboom
Cairns Samuelsson
Cloutier
Lundqvist (he's great at everything else, I assume he'd be a great fighter if he had to)
NOBODY'S BEATING THIS TEAM! NOOOOOBODY! Just the bold lol
MacIntyre was never on NYR. I'd substitute him and Mike Rupp with Tie Domi and Nick Kypreos.
Also, Kasparaitis and Samuelsson weren't tough, just cheap ********. I'd sub them with Jason Strudwick and Dale Purinton. And I guess since you had Dale at forward, add Kris King or Adam Graves to your forwards.
Any other player who ever wore a Sharks uniform should be in before Rathje. 6'-5" 240 and 5 career fights against the likes of Jeremy Roenick and Jamie Pushor. He got fighting majors aginst Simon and Chasse but never even threw a punch in either and got pummeled. Hands down the softest big guy ever in the league.
How about Jimmy Kyte? And Vernon in the net? He has over 250 PIMs. Stern only played 2 seasons with the Sharks so maybe slip Dody Wood in there.
The rest of the list is good though.
It was hard thinking of someone else. He was a physical player and tried his best at fighting. I agree with you, i just can't think of anyone better. Totally forgot about Wood while making the list, but others listed him so its whatever

Gary Roberts - Rick Vaive - Wednel Clark
Shayne Corson - Tiger Williams - Darcy Tucker
Kris King - Owen Nolan - Tie Domi
Colton Orr - John Kordic - Craig Berube
Dion Phaneuf - Tim Horton
Todd Gill - Rob Ramage
Wade Belak - Bob McGill
Ed Belfour - Felix Potvin
Pat Quinn as coach
This line up is just tough guys, there are no centers right left wing etc... just forwards dmen and goalies
I'd definitely substitute Marchment in Phaneuf's place. Never know when you need somebody to go hunting knees.

I may be wrong and somewhat bias as a Leafs fan but wouldn't the Rangers tough guy lineup have Orr? Certainly tougher than Kypreos.
