I watched the game and I gotta say fans were pretty loud... by NHL standard.

I still think he'll come over as long as their is no CBA related delay for next season. Just my gut feeling.

Says he thinks the decision comes down to both money and stability (didn't outright say CBA was an issue but that's my conclusion)

Says he thinks Kuznetsov's personality means he still wants the NHL, and that the Radulov situation may be suggesting that he'll get a chance to come over even if it's not right away, that he'll still be welcome and that staying in the KHL for now isn't closing any doors long term.
This makes a lot of sense.-"the Radulov situation". Stay in KHL and make $$$$$$$. Then you are on a shorter ELC when you come over. Why would you want to come straight over?

The implications going forward will be that this type of scenario has to be taken into consideration when drafting Russian or other players who can play in the KHL and burn time off the ELC.

Plus creating another type of "Silver Spoon" player. Wonder what the guys will think?

Your ELC doesn't run if you're playing in Europe. The only reason Radulov is on a "shorter ELC" is because he's returning mid-season and this year will count as the third and final year of his ELC (he's already played two seasons in the NHL).

Isn't the ELC less if you come over as an older player?

How long will a player be in the Entry Level system?

Players who sign their first contract at age 18-21 are required to sign three-year Entry Level contracts; players age 22-23 will be required to sign two-year deals; and players age 24 will be required to sign a one-year Entry Level contract.

I don't think he has signed a contract or has he?

Christ, please not another Russian nut-job. The Caps already have two. I had high hopes for Kuznetsov. It's amazing what a few months can do to a team's future outlook.

It does if the player is over 20 and was loaned by the NHL club, like Sjogren was for instance. Radulov was most certainly not loaned to Ufa so, like you said, his ELC was effectively frozen.

Just to inject a little sanity here, how does the fact that a 19-year-old newlywed wants to play 1) in his home country, 2) for the team of his choice, 3) for much more money qualify him as a nut-job?

I am very curious to hear about this brand of insanity.

Strikes me that the new CBA may need to have more provisions to protect teams that draft young Euro players.

On Radio Sport in Russia last night Kuznetsov's agent said the player will consider all offers after May 1. He didn't say KHL only. #Caps

He's dead to me for now. No more watching video clips of goals I no longer care about. He either wants to be here competing with the best in the world, or he wants to stay home and take the easy route.

Sign here, or begone forever.

This has the faint stink of that Sykora bum McPhee signed who went running home quickly.

I liked that Sykora guy... whatever his first name was.
With that, Sjogren, and this, i find it hard to believe you can still put the blame on those players.
Maybe, just maybe, it might be the fault of McPhee?

They aren't.

But people would blame Mcphee even if he found a cure for cancer.

Probably because Cancer has nothing to do with Managing a Hockey team.

He hasn't signed with anybody yet and you shouldn't believe everything they write about in Russian hockey media

Clearly, staying there is all about him being afraid of greatness and not the fact that literally every aspect of staying there is significantly better for him and his family.

Maybe Russian Power Structure is annoying him a bit to much! We should atleast get some entertainment out of the situation until he decides.

I don't really think that constitutes pandering.
