They are also there for group sales, specifically youth hockey and anthem singing kids. Whatever it takes. If I was a fan in Springfield or Albany, I'd be hoping for a ticket staff as ruthless as the Bruins.

Connecticut's a joke. No way they get 4,000 people in that barn (XL center). For an area that wants the Whalers back so bad, they're not helping themselves by not going to any whale games.

I must say though,i went to the game where the Wolf Pack switched to the Whale, and the XL center was PACKED. If i'm not mistaken, there was upwards of 13,000 plus there. That was a fun atmosphere. I was a Bruins fan even when the NHL Whalers were there, but i'd still like to see a team back.

That is not bad by itself. The problem is that he drags the rest of us into that world. I speak as a Penguins' fan who had to live through the fiasco that he set up.

So, had I done this last Monday, AHL Norfolk and AHL Bridgeport would have slid out of the top 30, temporarily replaced by CHL Evansville and AHL Hamilton, but Evansville and Hamilton slipped back out after last week's numbers, letting Norfolk and Bridgeport back in. By the way, the concern expressed about Adirondack's numbers being inflated by the outdoor game being held in conjunction with the NHL Winter Classic should be fading, since they continue to slide down, and should fall out of the top 30 by the end of the season. But for the time being, the teams in the lineup remain unchanged, and here are the current numbers:

NATIONAL CONFERENCE (15 teams)
Northeastern Division (5)
#3 Providence (AHL) - 7,606.9
#11 St. John's (AHL) - 6,301.0
#19 Manchester (AHL) - 5,457.1
#23 Portland (AHL) - 5,197.1
#30 Bridgeport (AHL) - 4,865.1

Atlantic Division (5)
#1 Hershey (AHL) - 9,780.2
#16 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) - 5,665.2
#24 Syracuse (AHL) - 5,183.1
#27 Adirondack (AHL) - 5,022.0
#29 Norfolk (AHL) - 4,881.8

Great Lakes Division (5)
#2 Fort Wayne (CHL) - 7,718.3
#4 Lake Erie (AHL) - 7,595.4
#12 Toledo (ECHL) - 6,186.7
#20 Rochester (AHL) - 5,442.0
#25 Toronto (AHL) - 5,146.0

AMERICAN CONFERENCE (15 teams)
Central Division (5)
#5 Chicago (AHL) - 7,535.7
#6 Grand Rapids (AHL) - 7,118.5
#17 Missouri (CHL) - 5,491.5
#15 Milwaukee (AHL) - 5,798.1
#22 Peoria (AHL) - 5,242.9

Southern Division (5)
#7 Houston (AHL) - 7,108.2
#8 San Antonio (AHL) - 7,060.1
#9 Charlotte (AHL) - 6,579.1
#18 Texas (AHL) - 5,484.4
#26 Gwinnett (ECHL) - 5,112.3

Western Division (5)
#10 Wichita (CHL) - 6,414.3
#13 Ontario (ECHL) - 5,976.7
#14 Stockton (ECHL) - 5,832.4
#21 Colorado (ECHL) - 5,289.0
#28 Bakersfield (ECHL) - 4,956.8

Wolves have increased 800 fans per game since January 15!! That is almost as many as Albany and Adirondack draw!!

I really like checking this thread out. It is fascinating to me to see the attendance in certain areas. I am surprised by some of the successful teams. Thank you HansH for all of your work on this thread.

As of Sunday's games, Norfolk has slipped out, to be replaced by AHL Hamilton. I'm not going to try an alignment right now - maybe another time

The number for St. John's won't change. They have has 32 straight sell outs and that will continue from what I hear.

Considering "Game Day" tickets require ordering about a month beforehand, I think it's safe to say they'll sell out everything for the rest of this season.

Finally managed to get 2 tickets for myself and a buddy to see a game on the 4th against Portland! Going to be my first IceCaps game... only took all season to get to one.

6299? They can't sell any standing room? Enjoy the game!

There isn't standing room at Mile One.

I keep hearing that all the seats next year will be held by STH

There is a decent description of Mile One along with a good pic, and a blurb about our failed experiment with the QMJHL

Actually, it will continue to SLIGHTLY decline each week. Yes, they've been selling out, but the first game had 60 SRO tickets (or something similar), the sixth game had 107 SROs, the 7th game had 216 SROs, and the 17th game had 10 SROs. No excess attendance since January, so the numbers will dip slightly with four more non-SRO games remaining.

No change in the lineup from last week -- Norfolk still out, Hamilton not just in, but moving up to #29.

Sliding to #30 was Adirondack, so you'll all be happy to know they're likely to fall out after next week, meaning the numbers from the outdoor game won't keep them artificially in the HMHL (High Minors Hockey League).
