They are lined up for the 2nd pick now...lets say they stay there...Andre Drummond? A front court of Drummond, Nene, and Booker sounds good to me.
I wouldn't touch Drummond with a top-5 pick. He's got tools, but no fire or heart. His no-show against Louisville was probably the most pathetic performance by a supposed top prospect in any sport that I've ever seen.
Assuming Davis goes #1, I bet it's between Thomas Robinson, MKG, and Harrison Barnes. I'm a bigger believer in Barnes, but I kinda doubt Ted lets the GM pass on a DC native.

Ah, didnt know that about Drummond. Didn't watch the Big East tourney this year.
Barnes would fit a need for sure even if Wall isn't a fan of him, heh. Just don't think he'll be a star. Drummund seems like another project. If the Bullets somehow get the #1 taking Davis is a no brainer. Love Kidd-Gilchrist though he doesn't have a great outside shot and their are some rumblings he might stay in Kentucky.
Guess I would go in descending order who I'd like the see them land at the draft.

Yeah, Drummond's energy level makes Andray Blatche look spry. Do not want.

Davis
Kidd-Gilchrist
Robinson
Barnes
Beal
I could see Barnes being an alpha scorer in the Reggie Miller mold--does most of his damage from the outside and from pull-ups, rather than from attacking the rim. Though his development of a post game this year is really intriguing. That could really add another dimension to his game. Both Barnes and MKG have limitations that keep them from being a 2 at the next level. Barnes lacks the handle and passing ability, while MKG lacks the shot and passing ability. I just think Barnes is a much fit than MKG with Wall. I wouldn't want 2/3 of the starting perimeter players to be terrible outside shooters.
My list would be similar to yours:
Davis
Barnes
MKG
Beal
Robinson/Sullinger
I don't know what to think about Robinson, honestly. Watching him play, I'm not sure he offers any more than Booker. Booker might have even been a better player in college, when you consider their supporting casts and level of competition.
Ernie Grunfeld needs to get fired. Don't get me wrong I like the idea of getting rid of two idiots, but bringing in a 29 year old, injury-prone player who just signed a 5 year $67mil contract doesn't make sense for the direction of this team.
Realistic options. Sullinger has impressed me of late, Robinson trending downward. None of the listed have character concerns, especially not Robinson and MKG.
There are plenty of things to criticize Grunfeld about. This trade isn't one of them.
I'm not sure how getting better doesn't make sense for the direction of the team. Nene won't hurt the tank efforts this season, and will help more than McGee in the competitive efforts next year.
Sure he's a better competitor than McGee, but he's not a great rebounder or a good shot blocker. He's 29 and will be 30 by the start of next year and we'll have him until he's 35. He should mesh well in the locker room though, which probably ended up being the key reason for the trade.
Say "no" to Sullinger. He has bust written all over him.
He has a consistent mid-range jumpshot and rebounds very well, not to mention advanced post moves. Wasn't sold on him earlier in the year, but he's impressed.

He's a much more intelligent and efficient player than McGee. And for all of McGee's big shotblocking numbers, he's a bad defensive player. His on/off rebounding and fg percentage numbers are telling.
Again, the team is better with Nene than with McGee.

One lesson already learned: When the 10-year veteran has the ball in his hands, keep your head up. Nene’s ability to distribute is proving rather surprising to his new teammates. Oh, not because he can pass; that was a given. Rather that he does, willingly. The center position is no longer a spot where ball movement goes to die.
“He hit a couple of people in the head making the baseline cut,” John Wall said. “They’re not used to getting the pass back.”
