Can the Preds catch the Blues?

It might seem a little far fetched but, 7 points isn't a whole lot of ground to make up. So what do you guys think? Central Division Champs sound good to you?

It is certainly possible, but I don't see it happening. The Preds have the ability to win a lot of games down the stretch for sure, but I don't see the Blues falling off that badly

Nope. Sorry but you guys are stuck playing Detroit.

On a more serious note, yeah it's definitely possible. Not probable, but certainly possible. We just lost Andy McDonald(our top offensive foward)to a shoulder injury, and have lost our last 2 games in a row, and have been playing rather sloppy for about the last 5. We're also 2 games ahead of you guys so if you win the next few you're really only 4 points behind us. Anyways good luck the rest of the season, and look forward to hopefully not seeing Rinne stonewall us in the playoffs.

no chance it happens. see last night as a great example.. we'd have to win at least 8 out of the next 10 to have a shot.

its less than likely.. slim chance.. STL would really have to choke. if we could win about 9 of the next 10, it would be down to the wire. thats alot too ask. we got to go through them all anyways.. I'm more worried about getting home ice against DET (crucial) .. if the boys are focused this last stretch I think we finish ahead of them.

They can but they will not.

It'd take a team-wide, 100%, laser-focused commitment to the goal of winning the division akin to the focus they've needed at the end of past seasons just to make the playoffs (see: Weber's beard last year). I think this year they are content to work for the 4 spot.

No, especially not the way we've been playing lately. I think the top 6 in the West are set. Which is unfortunate because Detroit should be healthy just in time for the playoffs and will be a dangerous team.

I'd be 400 times more happy if we finished ahead of Detroit.

We can!!!

If we win next 2...

If not, I doubt we pull it out.

Would be so sweet. Take the President by the way there too...

I voted no just because there's just not enough time. I just want the 4 seed now.

Blues have a tough week this week. If they tank, we have a chance. If not, we don't.

Preds should be thinking big like a division title. No need to settle for 4th.

I don't think not catching St. Louis would be settling.

Absolutely.

Since the poll was worded "can [they]" I voted yes. We absolutely can.

8 points behind, 2 games in hand. If we win the two in hand, we're 4 behind with 10 games to play (I know scheduling doesn't work out exactly like that...but). We have one game left against them...which if we won outright would mean we are down 2 with 9 games left...but with tie breakers, we would need +3 points in 9 games to overtake. Hypothetically, if we went 6-3-0 and they went 4-4-1 in those 9, and we would overtake. With that example, we would have to go 9-3-0 and the Blues would have to go 4-5-1 in the total remaining games.

It's certainly possible...but the truth is that we don't control our own destiny, and we need to be red hot while we need them to cool down.

In short.....RADULOV!

I don't think it will happen, though.

The way the last two games against the Kings have gone I'm not so sure we should want to catch the Blues and risk a 1v8 with the Kings...
