Erixon has some solid ahl stats this year. 33 points in 43 games. +5 on the season and only valentenko has a better +/- on the team.

Good move. Scored a nice powerplay goal tonight. Also got sucker punched by Trevor Gillies.

Tim can skate. Last night showed that if they wanna compete with the big guns in the East, they're gonna need guys who can skate and make good outlet passes.

Strahlman while not always defensively perfect can skate. Bickel unfortunately can't too well. I like Bickel, good story, but the guy's pretty much this year's Mike Hurlbut (remember him from 92-93 any older fans?)

Good luck to Tim. Hopefully him and MZA can galvanize this team the way Cally and Girardi did for the 06-07 Playoff Run.

As a Whale fan, his mediocre success and the way he's stuck in New York has baffled me. Tons.

Good move. The D needs some fresher legs. Prove yourself, Timmy!

Sit Bickel or Eminger. I fully believe that Stralman has a place on this team.

Bickel better sit.

He was utter trash last night and is just a waste of ice space. Love Erixon. Hopefully he can stay.

The kid is going to be a great NHL defenseman... what more can he learn in the AHL right now?

McD-Girardi
MDZ-Stralman
Staal-Erixon

Of course, we may go with extra defensemen in the event of Feds, Cally, MDZ being unable to go tomorrow, in which case you've got

Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Stepan-Mitchell
Zuccarello-Boyle-Prust
Scott-Rupp-Bickel

McD-Girardi
Staal-Stralman
Erixon-Eminger

... yikes.

I'm kind of hoping this will be like Girardi's call up in 07, where he made it impossible for the team to send him back down again. Not asking for Erixon to be amazing, but I hope he just does all the little things and is quietly very solid in his 10-15 minutes a game.

Great news. This kid has tons of potential and hopefully can help this slumping and tired defense out.

Very surprised, but this is good news! It is very hard to make the transition to the NHL, especially at this point in the season. I'm not looking for him to be a rock star, just be a servicable, non liable third pairing D-man for us and we'll be happy Timmy.

Yikes indeed. Thankfully, I don't think there's any chance those would be the lines. THat third line is our #1 shut down line. We need players with defense on that line. They won't put Zuccarello on there. We'll probably see something like

Richards line
Dubi-Steps-Mza
Mitchell-Boyle-Prust
Scott-Rupp-Bickel

If Cally returns, he takes the 2nd line RW, Scott goes out of the lineup and mza goes to the fourth line

Scott-Rupp-Bickel would probably be the worst line in the entire NHL.

Hopefully this is his last call up similar to McDonagh and Girardi the past years.

Torts said Eminger was hurt so clearly he is called up because of that....if this is true. Im just hoping del zotto is good to go. We cant screw around anymore here, this cant go more than a 4 point differential.

Tim & Anton would be nice to see. I think a swedish pair would play really well together (just give it a try, I think they won´t prove me wrong with it). They could speak swedish on the ice and this could be an advantage for them against the opposite forwards..
