SPOKANE, Wash. - Burke Gallimore scored the winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in the third period as the Seattle Thunderbirds edged the host Spokane Chiefs 4-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Colin Jacobs and Luke Lockhart each had a goal and an assist for the Thunderbirds (25-43-2), who are tied for the final playoff position in the Western Conference, while Seth Swenson added a single goal.
Blake Gal, Dylan Walchuk and Marek Kalus scored for the Chiefs (37-25-9), who are fifth in the West.
Calvin Pickard made 36 saves for the win as Eric Williams stopped 25 shots in a losing effort.
Seattle went 1 for 5 on the power play while Spokane went 2 for 5.
